"Why do you need an electric blanket when you're already so hot?" my silly wifey says. But there are two main 2 reasons why I chose this heated throw: 1) The auto-turn-off function is 10 hours which is much longer time period than most electric blankets offer. I prefer to stay warm ALL night, and the 2-4 hour auto-shut-off of other electric blankets has left me shivering at three or four in the morning or just before wake up time when the bedroom is coldest. (I know what you're thinking and, yes, it's too cold to reach out and turn it on again when I'm groggy, grumpy, and cold. Quit making difficult suggestions.) 2) The range of heat settings is wonderful. When I select level 2, the throw stays tepid, just around body temperature (you can feel a very slight warmth) which is ideal for me because , combined with how "hot" my wife says I am, I fear that more heat could cause the bed to spontaneously combust. On the other hand, if your room is freezing and you want to get into a cozy warm bed, level 3 or 4 is more than enough heat. Not sure why someone would need this baby turned on full blast unless they were trying to cook something in the bed. I fold this throw to about a 12 inch width and then run it under the fitted sheet along the foot of my bed to keep my feet warm. This is an excellent heated throw. Very pleased with this purchase. Yes, this is 100% machine-washable! Just disconnect it from the blanket - ignore the manufacturer recommendations (gentle wash cycles get the throw too wet) - throw it in the wash, and then throw it in the dryer just like you would any other piece of clothing. Yes, the electrical connection is a stupid location - right in the middle - but the versatility and extra heat of having an washable electric throw makes it worth it.

So I guess I was lucky to get the red and black plaid at the time I ordered as it was the only color available. Also as a throw, the size is a little smaller than I'd hoped for. Other than that, once you play around with the settings (which are not conveniently located) , it is nice and cozy on cold nights.

I just plugged in my new electric throw and an loving it so far! I sit outside on my front porch alot and have found electric heaters to be expensive and not very effective at keeping my warm while sitting outside on the front porch when it gets cold. This throw is large enough to cover my feet legs and upper torso (I'm 5'7"). I started on high heat (#6), but had to lower the temp (#2) ... it's 50° outside. I hope this helps...I'm very satisfied so far ... my first few hours. I'll update my review if things change in the future.

I purchased one of these at JCPenney and I was very happy with it...it was very thick and very very plush and actually works very well. For some reason this one arrived and after the third day it stopped heating and I had to return it back to Amazon. The controller lights were flashing and there was obviously some type of short in the mechanism. The one I purchased from JCPenney by the same company actually was a much better deal this one really was absolutely horrible and very very thin in fact you can see the white cords running all the way through it. Definitely not good quality at all.

This blanket is so soft and it heats up very well. I'm so pleased with this purchase I will be purchasing this item again for sure

I have owned several of these over the years for my Sphynx cat who just loves snuggling up with this during our long winters. I usually only get a new one because of the wear and tear the cat causes - they have never stopped working.

This is a small electric blanket for cold nights on the couch or chair. It warms and it is soft, but the craftsmanship is cheap when compared to Sunbeam and other brand names. Perhaps the biggest negative is the connector. The plug and socket have no retention device to keep the plug connected to the blanket, so the plug regularly falls out of the blanket. I admit that it's a small thing, but it is a pain in the *** to continually hunt for the plug, reattach it and turn the blanket back on again. Next time, I'll spend the extra dough in hopes of getting a better-quality product.

It’s soft and cozy!!

Purchased Biddeford heated throw in past from Kohl’s. They use to have a different controller which worked better. Mine finally quit after a few years. with Covid the USA boarders closed i Searched amazon and was so happy to see they offered it. I love the 10 hr timer. Received my order and within a week, the throw would not heat, amazon gladly exchanged, received second throw, on second night controller did not work. Biddeford has to find a better quality controller, once they change controller model on heated throws, this would be a nice product.

Not comfortable,very messy blanket, piles when you wash it. Overall not satisfied

Worked for one day but now doesn’t get warm and the remote doesn’t work. Dissatisfied.
