BEST SHOES/BOOTS EVER!!!!
I have been desperate to find a decent comfortable pair of hiking boots or sneakers. I could not find any after repeated tries - my main thing I was looking for was something supportive (as I have on/off plantar fascitis) and I wanted lots of space in the front for my toes (had issue with previous sneakers with pressure on my toenails, a few turned black & blue from some sneakers I had - and could not deal with that). So normally in sneakers I take a 8 medium. I ordered these up not only 1/2 size but ordered the wide (so I ordered the 8.5 Wide) OMG I LOVE LOVE LOVE THESE! NO breaking in at all. Literally from the moment I put them on I have had total comfort - no issues, sizing is great - room for my toes especially if you get hot, your feet will expand. I cannot say enough good things about these. I also had tried (before ordering these) the Keen version - sent them right back - they were not comfy and they did not have wide options. As mentioned I normally do not take wide - but in a hiking boot - it makes a huge difference - I love these so much! They have great traction, are super easy to tie, tons of padding around the top. I hope they NEVER ever discontinue this model - this is one of the best footwear I have owned ever....

Great hiking boot
These are great hiking boots. I tried many other hiking boots in various brands before landing on these, but either the fit was off or they were too clunky and heavy. These boots have a perfect fit, are pretty lightweight, and don't even require breaking in. I took them on my trip to Alaska, where it was raining the entire time I was there. I used them almost everyday, either hiking on trails or walking in town, and they really do keep your feet dry. They also have amazing traction, and I was pretty amazed I wasn't slipping on wet rocks while hiking. I usually wear a size 7, but got a 7.5 to accommodate for thicker hiking socks. Perfect fit :)

Very comfortable hiking shoes
Sturdy and comfortable. A good quality shoe. I really don't like ordering shoes online because I am afraid they won't fit right but I needed the hikers right away and my town doesn't offer anything worth buying. I was pleased that they fit perfectly.

Great Hiking Boots!
Very comfortable right out of the box! No breaking in necessary. I hiked 5 miles on rocky, hilly terrain the first time I wore them and they were perfect. Hiked three days in a row and had no blisters or discomfort whatsoever. Great ankle support and the soles grip well climbing over rocks. I have a pair of Merrell hiking shoes that are almost identical and love them, too. Fit true to size.

Comfortable out of the box
It tried numerous pairs of hiking boots. This one was my pick. The size is perfect. I have a size 9 - wide foot. These are 9.5 regular. With moderately thick moreno wool socks, there is plenty of toe room. There are no pressure points around my shins or ankles. The Vibram tread appears it will grip the terrain well. I'm taking this pair with me on my Australia/New Zealand land tour and Africa next year with Overseas Adventure Travel. I have no idea how strenuous the hikes might be. I think with these boots and my walking sticks, my senior ankles and balance will be fine.

Stiff, run very hot
They're the right width, and only barely the right length. If you wear thick socks go up a half size. They're very stiff and hard. The insoles have shape, but they're not soft. The balls of my feet were rubbing a bit against the sole. The biggest problem is they run HOT! I have Raynaud's. My feet are normally icy. I only walked around the block in these and my feet were burning up, like they couldn't breathe.

Quality shoes!!! Perfect fit & supportive.
I haven’t hiked in these yet, but I formerly used the Moab SHOE by Merrell, so I know they produce e a quality product that will last you years. My feet have NEVER hurt after a hike. When my trusty shoes wore out, I knew I wanted to order the boot version next for the ankle support and let me tell you: my ankles are so cozy in these boots! I mainly wanted to elaborate on the sizing. I am a TRUE 7.5, but I typically wear an 8 in my street shoes and work flats & heels. If there are whole sizes only, I’m definitely an 8. I’m never a 7, and never an 8.5. HOWEVER, in my running shoes (Hoka) and hiking shoes, I am an 8.5. You want to give your foot some room to swell, and move around a bit (aka, not be jammed in there). Go up 1 size from your TRUE foot size, and you’ll be golden. Or go up a half size from what you typically wear. I typically wear an 8, and half size up from that is perfect for me. My shoes were an 8.5 and so are these and the fit is perfect. Not squished, and not swimming in them. Can’t wait to use these this weekend!

DO NOT BUY IF YOU NEED WATERPROOF
These shoes are comfortable day 1 - but only in the sunshine midday are they good. DO NOT BUY IF YOU NEED WATERPROOF!! It is not even remotely waterproof after a walk in the morning meadow or grass your feet will be soaked. Had to imagine myself on a beach with sandals on to keep my attitude in check while hiking in soaking wet shoes and socks that you can the squeeze the water out of. Not good in the first wearing in rain or anything wet - not good even after using waterproofing spray - just plain not good if you need waterproof!
