Stainless Steel Garlic Press and Rust-Proof Premium Mincer by Acutos

Not bad for the price, but I've been used to much better. This does have quality construction and material, just not the best design. I bought this as a gift thinking it was like ours, but this one has sides on the "basket" where ours does not. Not a huge difference, but cleaning ours is much easier because it can be opened for full access to the inside surface. With this one, it's picking little bits from a rectangular hole.

Its powerful and does a great job with garlic and turmeric root. However the handle is a bit too thin and not as comfortable in the palm. Moreoever it has no cleaning utensil built in and I often find myself opting not to use it because of the hassle getting bits of turmeric out of the holes.

I had never heard of a garlic press until a friend mentioned it and so I went ahead and ordered one. My first question after using my Acutos Deluxe Garlic Press was "why had I been wasting time chopping up garlic for all these years?" This press really gets the job done and in no time.Also, best of all, no garlicy smell left on my fingers! The press itself feels and looks high quality. Another user mentioned that it's not only good for pressing garlic, but also ginger. I've yet to try pressing anything else but the ease at which it presses those hard cloves of garlic I don't doubt it can do so for other foods. I really like that it has the hooks on the handles so that I can hang it up. The only thing is that cleaning requires some work but I find that if you wash it not long after using it, cleaning it out is a piece of cake.

this Garlic Press does not push garlic back out like the old style one, you have to use a knife to remove the press garlic out of the pouch.

I'm not a big fan of garlic, but my wife is. She says, "it's okay," but wouldn't complain if it somehow became lost. It is not very easy to clean.

I love me some fresh garlic. I put it in almost everything I'm cooking. I got a bit fed up however of chopping up my garlic cloves and, wanting to cut down on my prep time for cooking I decided to invest in a garlic press. It seems that my investment paid off as this Acutos Deluxe Stainless Steel Garlic Press really does cut down my prep time! I can press up to 3 or 4 cloves at once (depending on their size). The time saved is just fabulous. It's also pretty easy to use. One tip though- use a knife to scrape off all that wonderful garlic from the press after pressing. The press itself is very sleek , sturdy and durable Also, I got really excited today when I put a pimento pepper in the press and voila, I got some lovely minced pimento pepper. All in all, I'm happy with my garlic press!
