Great for installing coolant hoses and GM quick-connect fittings
Used this to help seat the quick-connect T-fittings that GM used on the heater core connections of my 2012 Tahoe and a bunch of other SUVs and trucks. Made the job a lot easier, especially given the very limited working space near the firewall where the get installed. This has the consistency of petroleum jelly and spreads well so you don't need a lot to get the job done. I'm sure I'll find plenty of uses for it, and the tube is large enough that it should last for quite awhile. It's rated to hold up to the coolant and it's higher temps,

The best grease for caliper slide pins and brake hardware
I've used a lot of different greases for brake caliper pins, shoe adjusters, and other brake hardware. Aerosol lithium grease was convenient but just didn't hold up. Specialty brake greases (purple ceramic grease or that green super-special brake grease) gave inconsistent and usually lackluster results despite their price. Some made rubber parts swell and stick despite promising not to do that. Others dried out. A few years ago I did what I should have done all along and went back to using Sil-Glyde. It's what I was taught to use in technical college when I studied auto repair 20+ years ago. It worked well back then, lubricating effectively without damaging any rubber parts. It works just as well today. Every time I do a brake job all the caliper pins, slides, adjusters, and backing plate friction points get a dab of Sil-Glyde. It works just as well today as it did 20 years ago, too. I also use it for lubricating o-rings, plastic fittings and threads, etc. It seems to be pretty benign around plastic and rubber and I've never had a problem with it causing any embrittlement or swelling. It also works to keep rubber seals pliable. In a pinch I've used it on light bulb sockets to keep corrosion at bay, though I prefer dielectric grease if given the option. I have entirely too many different oils, greases, and other lubricants in my stash, but if I had to throw the majority away tomorrow, Sil-Glyde would still be on the KEEP pile.

Great Lubricant
I bought this as an automotive lube but discovered it has many more uses. It's a larger tube than seems in Amazon item description. I had a sticking crank open window; put some on the slider and works like new. Crushed weather-checked front door seals; quieted opening and rejuvenated the seals. Weather seal on door sweep; quiet and smooth opening. Bolts on my truck front skid plate; stopped rust freezing the threads. Window seals on truck cap; don't freeze in winter and open smoothly. Auto door seals; rejuvenated and don't freeze in cold temps. O ring seals on engine oil filter and drain plug; ease assembly. I use this on almost everything. This stuff is great! 1 Liter water bottle in pics for scale.

Great at eliminating squeaky seals
I had used this on our original 2dr Bronco roof and door seals and it help quite it down quite a bit. Our new '24 4dr Bronco developed a horrendous interior squeak in the rear. A buddy with a '22 4dr said it was the seal on the rear window against the tailgate and that his does it too. It was worst going slow over small bumps and our gravel road made the thing sing, sing, sing. I verified the source was spot on by driving low speed with the glass up. I cleaned the seal with IPA and put a very, very thin coating of this on and worked i The lube into the seal surface, then wiped any excess off. The hugely annoying squeak was eliminated! I immediately went to my buddies house and did the same on his '22 Bronco. Again, squeak eliminated! He couldn't believe I fixed it so quickly after driving around with that racket for 2+ years. Not sure how long it will be effective, but it's easy to do, it doesn't take much material, and the tube should last a long time. It's a thick grease, so it stays in place. I absolutely love this Bronco, but that squeak would have driven me up a wall. This stuff was worth every penny.

1001 Uses- Keep a Tube Handy
A few days ago, I bought a vintage drum set and a similar product was recommended. Based on my research, I chose this one and saved a bit of money. For its first test, I had a large bolt on the bass drum tom holder that was stuck. I had to use pliers to get it out but, once I did, I put a little dab of this on the threads and it's buttery smooth. It has a lot of uses, and a little goes a long way, so keep a tube handy.

Excellent Brake Lubricant
This is the large size tube 8oz/ 227g. Iโve used this stuff on my brakes the past 20 years, and itโs never let me down. Excellent for many other uses, as listed on back of the tube.
