Palatable, my cat actually looks forward to receiving his daily doses
The little chewable lysine "treats" that the vet sold us were of no use, he refused to eat them. Since he has a chronic allergy and upper respiratory issues it is important that he receives this supplement. I went on a search for something that I could administer orally.Being a horse person, this type of tube and product is very common for administering deworming products and other similar medications. I thought I'd give this a try. Much to my pleasure I discovered he loved it, loved the taste. After receiving his dose, he licks the dispenser clean, he seems sad when there is nothing left to taste. This all makes giving him his needed supplements very easy. He is hard to medicate and thankfully this product has simplified his routine.I now buy it in bulk. :)

Kitty Loves It!
Our vet suggested we give our kitten the L-Lysine to help boost her immunities while fighting off an upper respiratory infection. After about a month of twice a day doses (which she laps up quickly!) the sneezing has definitely been reduced (only once every couple of days instead of multiple times daily). He said we could give it to her indefinitely, so as long as she enjoys it and we see benefit, we will continue. No prescription needed, but I would always check with the vet first.

so I definitely recommend giving it a try
This didn't work out so well for my cat's situation, however, we only used the one 4-pack. Perhaps if I had used it longer, it might have worked. My cat has really runny, discolored discharge from her eyes almost 24 hours a day. She has been diagnosed with feline herpes, and the doctor suggested lysine. We tried lysine powder on her food and she wouldn't eat it, nor would she eat the lysine treats. The appeal of this stuff is that it's in a syringe, so I just dial it to the appropriate dose and inject it directly into her mouth. Then I quickly wipe off the tip so it doesn't have a chance to get gunky or grow lots of bacteria - although I'm sure this isn't the most sanitary way to do it. (I initially gave it to her on my finger, but she after the first time, she wouldn't eat it there, or if mixed into her food.). I possibly see a tiny reduction in the severity of the weepy eyes, but if there is anything at all, it's not significant. In our case, it's kind of pricey for a not very large return on investment. I know Lysine works for a lot of cats, so I definitely recommend giving it a try.

Cured my sick friend
This product saved my cat's life. As a kitten she was a feral alley cat, born under a bush in our yard. She was infected with the feline herpes at birth, and was a very sick girl. For some reason she allowed me to tame her and I've been able to get her better, but not "over it", until I started giving her Lysine supplements, which included Duralactin. I mix it right in with her morning feeding of wet canned food. She has never shown any signs of rejecting it, and her problems with snotty nosed sinus infections have disappeared. The very first day of use saw a dramatic improvement in her condition, and daily use over a month's time pretty much cured her. If you have not tried this product for your sick cat, do it now!

A great design and a great product
There are several feline diseases that Lysine is known to ameliorate. Our cat had respiratory issues for a bit and after some research we decided to try adding a Lysine supplement. After confirming this treatment with the vet, I ordered 1 syringe of Duralactin Feline L-Lysine. After only a couple weeks use the improvement was dramatic (YMMV). The dosing system of Duralactin syringe is quite clever. By simply spinning the ring on the plunger to the appropriate number (clearly marked in black numbers on the plunger) you can easily measure out the prescribed dosage. And the ring prevents the plunger from being pushed in too far. I have since been ordering the 4 pack for convenience (it would be lovely if there was a significant cost savings too, but I haven't found it yet). A final note, the cat in question is extremely intelligent & correspondingly difficult to medicate. Has never accepted treats of any kind & will not eat food or drink water that has been "tainted" with medication. That said, on one occasion I squirted a dose onto an empty plate, then walked away to fetch a new can of food. When I came back I found (to my amazement) that the Lysine had been licked straight off the plate. So, not only is it effective, but it must taste pretty good too( this opinion is based solely on feline behavior because though tempted, I have managed to refrain from sampling it myself).

My cat stopped sneezing with
This is a great product. It gives my cat energy and helped him recover from a cold. My cat was sneezing a lot and after having this supplement for 2 weeks, he got better, no more sneezing. Also, my cat loves the flavor. Will but again in the future for sure.
