Awesome knife!! Flips open easily, locks hard, great grip, strong tanto tip, great partially serrated blade
This knife is awesome! I love how smooth it opens and how much grip the handle has.I really like how there is no protruding "nut" or "bolt" to flick open with your thumb, but rather a hole to depress your thumb into to flick open.A lot of knives have that and can get caught on the rim of your jeans pocket when trying to pull out quickly.I prefer to use the nipple on opposite side with the tip of my finger to open anyway, so I always hated those little knobs.I recently used 2 vice grips and twisted a set off of my other favorite knife so it would be smooth like this one.Love the partially serrated blade and especially the tanto tip.I read up a little on that and the concept is like a samurai sword, which allows for a stronger tip with more metal at end which is better for piercing amour in battle. If you compare to a longer and more tapered blade, you can see that the tip is much thinner on those others and more likely to break while stabbing or prying at things. The only complaint I have, which may be possibly rectified, although I haven't tried yet, is the way the pocket clip is bent.It could be considered by some to be a feature, as it is super low-profile and unlikely to get caught on things as you walk by, which can sometimes happen with pocket knife clips that flip out at the end a little.Unfortunately, the other side of the coin is that it makes it difficult to insert in your pocket without some work, either prying up the clip with your finger nail while rocking back and forth and inserting, or just breaking down and using 2 hands. This is terrible really and has caused me to go back to using my old knife which has a clip that flips out a little making it easier to insert on the rim of my pocket.I have been planning on attempting to bend the tip of the clip a little bit with needle-nose pliers to try and make it more like my old knife to make it better, but just haven't gotten around to it.If it turns out that I end up breaking the clip during this process, I may revisit my review and knock off a star or two.I'm trying to be nice and give 5 stars because it is still a pretty awesome knife. If I can bend that clip a little and make it a smoother entry and exit, then I'd definitely consider this to be one of the best purchases I've made in a while and especially at the awesome low price. If you're considering this, go for it!!!Update: I successfully bent the clip a little at the end with a needle nose pliers making it easier to insert into my pocket while clipping it to the pocket. Really worth doing that if you haven't done it already to anyone who has this knife, and you should plan on doing that if you are going to buy this knife.I love it so much, but then I lost it. I bought another one and then found the other one. So for a little while, I had 2 of them. It made me more apt to carry one because I had this tendency of cherishing it and not using it to save it and keep it nice while I continued to use my old knife. Once I had 2 then I felt more confident using it on a regular basis. Recently I think I lost one again so I think I'll buy another. I bought one as a gift for someone once too and they loved it and were extremely grateful. I think this would make a perfect gift for a guy, especially at the price. (Or girl who is into knives, not to be sexist. I know there are female EMTs who would probably love this knife too.)

Winner
Bought and returned several knives for my job to try and replace my Gerber I lost. I had a certain criteria; didn’t open randomly, spring assisted, glass break, seatbelt cutter, serrated blade, a good EDC size, and under $30. This knife was the best by far. It met all the criteria and exceeded my expectations. LAPG never fails to make really high quality gear at an affordable price. IMO this beats my Gerber I had and Smith and Wesson knives.

Awesome EDC Blade
First: I’ve had four of these. Absolutely love this blade. The first one has become my shop blade, the second and third one I had to dispose of because I forgot to leave them at home before going to Disneyland (oops…) and now have my fourth one in the desert tan. Fortunately, I’ve only had to use the window breaker once (mostly for fun to break down a shower door for disposal) and haven’t had to use the strap cutter, but it’s great to know they’re there if I ever need them. The edge retention isn’t stellar, but it’s more than respectable for a blade at this price point. And it’s soft enough that it’s easy to sharpen and hones nicely. If you need an every day utility blade, you absolutely can’t go wrong with this!

Best $20 knife...period.
I bought one of these knives last year (Black Tanto Shown) and it's held up so well I had to buy a few more. In my opinion this is the best knife you can get for this price. Most knives around this price range will come with a lesser quality steel........This one is made out of 8cr14mov, a SOLID budget steel, It won't hold an edge like S35vn, s30v, or even D2 steel, but that also means you won't spend 15-30 minutes trying to re-sharpen it. Which is why I like 8cr14mov & 8cr13mov steel, it's super easy to sharpen. Quick 5 minutes and you're done.Great knife for the money! Definitely doesn't feel like a $20 knife. If these were made in the US they'd cost twice as much, or more.

Good utility knife; bad self defense weapon
This is a great utility knife, but it's hard to imagine it being a good self defense knife for anything outside of intimidation. It's a bit off balance, and is a bit too large to be easily concealed and grasped on to. You need BIG hands for this knife.Other than that, it's a great knife. Well built, hard steel, sharp edge out of the box. It just doesn't feel or handle as well as my S&W extreme ops knife. Dunno about this one. Kind of on the fence of whether or not I want to carry it... but I'm leaning towards no. Need to do some practice with it before I decide for good. If I change my mind, I'll update this review.

Major Bang for the Buck!
For this price the knife is a no-brainer. I bought it for a friend who graduated from the police academy and who wanted to carry a knife on duty that opened easily. The assisted opening snaps the blade into place rapidly, which really already makes up for the fact that with this opening system you have to have a liner lock. Personally, I prefer Cold Steel's Tri-Ad locks, but with the philosophy of use you would have with such a knife as this, I doubt you will ever need more rigidity than the (in this case) solid liner lock provides. If you need an affordable, quality blade that has a fast assisted opening, looks sweet and works fine, this is your knife!

Worth every penny
This thing is perfect for my needs. It’s exactly how I hoped it would turn out. It’s sturdy but not too heavy, compliments of that polymer handle. The seat belt cutter, I actually use the most, surprisingly. I use it to open the bundle straps for newspapers since I deliver papers at night. And during my Security day job, it’s a convenient tool to have on me.Love the tactical two tone look, as it actually matches my Zizo phone case.Definitely would buy again and even as gifts for friends of mine.
