Great screen protector especially for artists
Pros- nice texture that’s comfortable to write/draw on- no rainbow or glare- no grainy screen or loss of clarity- great protector for artists that want something similar to a cintiq screenCons- difficult to apply- rough surface will quickly wear your pencil tip down- only 1 protectorNever having bought an iPad before I wanted something to protect my screen whilst also being comfortable to draw on it. I did try sketching on the glass but it felt unpleasant and I worried about scratches. I looked around at various protectors and whilst the paperlike seemed like a good option I was put off by the price and possibility of it bending in the mail which had happened to some other people. The elecom was lacking in reviews or videos but I decided to take a chance on it as the price was reasonable and I’ll admit being a Japanese product that’s targeted towards artists appealed more to me than other brand matte protectors that are mostly just there to prevent glare.I’ve had this for a few months now and I can’t imagine using my iPad without it or using another protector the elecom feels great to draw or write on. Some people have said the screen protector is like sandpaper but I think that’s a bit of an over exaggeration, there is more tooth than other protectors but not enough to make it uncomfortable it will however wear your pencil nib down faster. As a Wacom cintiq user I feel comfortable using the protector (obviously cintiq doesn’t have the same tooth but it feels kind of similar to use) and don’t really notice a big difference in brightness and clarity drop due to being used to a cintiq screen. If you use your iPad for art I would definitely recommend this protector. The worst thing about the protector is putting it on even now there are some minor dust specks but putting the protector on was such an ordeal of multiple attempts that I just left it as is despite the specks which aren’t all that noticeable unless you’re working on a bright white screen but I always start on a light grey canvas to prevent eye strain in all of my digital art. The protector comes with a tiny cloth that’s too small to really use effectively, a piece of card to squeeze the bubbles out and a small sticky label to remove dust from your screen. I’m lucky that I had a roll of address sticker labels because one sticker wasn’t enough and honestly it’s better to just leave the tablet over night as the bubbles had disappeared the next day (they were small though if you have large bubbles probably try to squeeze them out). The card isn’t advisable to use too much because the texture of the screen started to tear the card and leave paper residue. For the price I would have preferred they give us 2 protectors but at least thanks to the silicone it was easy to remove and reapply multiple times, if it had been an adhesive film I’d have ruined the protector in the process of trying to reapply it. Another thing is that the screen protector isn’t blue like somebody else commented on, it’s just the film that you’ll remove anyway that’s blue.I know a chunk of this review is the installation but it really was a pain so good luck applying it. Aside from that though I love this protector and would definitely buy another when this one starts to wear out, I can’t recommend it enough if you use your iPad for art.

Nice but it consumes apple pencil nib~
It is a very nice screen protector for me. It’s feel like paper. But it consumes apple pencil’s nib. I like it ~

Superb matte protector for the Apple Pencil!
I had been looking for a reasonably priced matte screen protector for the iPad Pro, and found this one eventually. All in all it provides a great surface for using the Apple Pencil, which now feels more like an actual pencil on paper. It was very easy to install with a fair bit of leeway, so it's not too hard to get right. The only downside to this protector (as with all matte protectors) is the minimal rainbow effect visible when viewing white backgrounds. For what it's worth, if you use dark mode on the iPad, you won't notice it very much.

Retains image clarity!
Using this on the iPad Pro 10.5.My purpose is mainly protecting the screen from scratches and improving the handling of the Apple Pencil. However, when I was using the Supershieldz protector on my iPad Pro 9.7”, the grain was so obtrusive that I preferred to leave the screen unprotected so that I could at least enjoy what I was viewing on it.With the Elecom, there is minimal grain and I can not notice any rainbow effect that you notice on other products. The best thing is that it retains image clarity: the screen still looks sharp. So this product only slightly affects the viewing experience. The feeling on the fingers is weird at first and there is definitely a lot of tooth that feels great with the pencil. Touch response is unaffected. Installation could have been easier.

Very difficult to apply
I found this was difficult to apply without creating bubbles and trapping dust underneath in the process. Despite trying to do things methodically, I failed. The product is great, but very difficult to apply smoothly. I will be sticking to a hardened glass variety in the future as these flexible sheets are a poor solution. I ended up putting it in the bin. Maybe if there were two in a packet at least there would be a second chance of getting it right.

Good texture feel, but reduces touch sensitivity
It is textured which is great for art. It does reduce the sensitivity of the screen to finger gesture like punch etc. I’d say a little to thick, but factor in price a useful compromise

Makes your iPad feel like an ereader
I’ve always loved the iPad for its fast, intuitive software, as well as its high performance. However, when it comes down to it, it’s hard to argue that the iPad beats the Kindle or other ebook readers because of their paper-feel screens. This screen protector brings the experience of the iPad closer to those ereaders, making it a great device for both content consumption and creation. It has a nice velvety matte texture that doesn’t affect screen quality and improves the catch of the Apple Pencil. Well worth the $10!

Pretty good writability
It is a problem with balancing the writability and the visibility. You can not get both of them. I buy this item because I choose the writability. It is pretty good experience to write on it with your Apple Pencil. You really don’t need to worry about the abrasion of the pencil. I used it for two month and My pencil still looks fine. I think if I use up one tip of my pencil, it absolutely worth the money. The pencil tip is not that expensive.

It’s alright, buy again? Probably not
Primarily got this for drawing. It is a step up in friction compared to a cheaper matte protector I’ve had with subtle bumpy graininess. Does give off a pencil sound when using the Apple pencil and a subtle sound when swiping with your finger. It’s just kind of expensive, you get just one. The film on the sticky side wasn’t trimmed to the screen/protector’s shape which made it a bit challenging to put it on.Screen clarity? nothing to really cry about. Didn’t come with a wet wipe just a little piece of cotton fabric, a squeegee card and a dust sticker. Would have liked to have more than just one protector just in case I really messed up on applying the one. Worth the money? Not sure. It is a subtle upgrade in friction, but I was perfectly happy with my cheapo matte screen protector.Extra:I think a cheap matte protector would be fine, I’ve used an Intuos 4 at work for a little over 6 years and it’s pretty worn down and drawing on a cheap matte screen protector with an Apple Pencil feels better 😆 so I think I’ll just stick to the cheap ones and wear those down 🤷🏽♂️

It’s really a good tool for drawing. It just makes you feel so comfortable when you draw on it.

Word of Caution - Directions Not Written in English
Fortunately, I have put on my fair share of screen protectors, so when I saw that the directions were not written in English, I wasn't too afraid. However, the kit that was provided to install this screen protector was sub-par in comparison to other screen protector kits I have used in the past for my iPhone. This kit came with a very, very small microfiber cloth, one strip of sticky tape for dust pick-up, and a very flimsy piece of cardboard to get the air bubbles out.I'm used to kits having a wet and dry process to clean the screen, several pieces of sticky tape, and a piece of rigid plastic for the air bubbles. So, I had to make some modifications. I used some screen cleaner that I already had (recommend WHOOSH! Screen Cleaner), some masking tape, and my AAA Membership card (comes in handy!). After re-aligning it a few times, I got it on and got the air bubbles out.Bottom line, it does feel like you're writing on paper, and it is an excellent screen protector. However, it was a massive hassle to install - more than it should have been. So, patience is critical. I'm not saying you don't buy this - just saying go in with your eyes wide open.
