This one works
This is a great machine. I had tried a little half-litre one with no adjustment to the settings and it misted out so little water that it made no difference in my bedroom. This thing really makes a difference. On full power this produces a nice thick mist of water and can up the humidity in my medium sized bedroom by about 20 - 30 percent in an hour or two.Leaving this on full can produce too much water so really doesn't have to be left on long periods of you don't want to. The light on the front is blue and can be turned off. There is a blue LED within the water tank which turns red when empty. This cannot be turned off though unfortunately. Quite a large machine but it does work, is pretty quiet in operation and worth having. This takes away the dry eyes and sore throat you may get during winter due to your central heating being on so much.

Developed a catastrophic fault after 2 months.
When this item arrived, it was great. Super quiet, and did the job. Made a world of difference to my wife's snoring :)Alas, after just over two months of use, and for no apparent reason, the tank started to drain all over the carpet as soon as we filled it and seated it back into the base unit. The water just ran through the (electrified) internals of the base unit and leaked out everywhere. What a mess. Good old Amazon, they were happy to issue me with a refund for the item as it was outside the initial 30-day return window. So, can't ask for a better outcome. Well, maybe a dry carpet would have been nice.

Great product, works well
Good product, works well and is indeed as silent as it says. Its easy to use and it lasts a long time between fills, depending what setting you have it on obviously.however there are a few things which seem a little pointless to me...for one, the 'night light' is very bright, if its on in the bedroom i wrap the entire thing in a scarf, it doesn't affect my sleep but the brightness keeps my fiancé awake. I originally thought that the button on the front would turn the light on and off, which it does, except it is a separate light which lights a ring around the control knob, which doesn't make sense to me.Overall its a good product and i would recommend it.

Does the job really well!!
Had this about a week now and so far so good. It does what it says with minimal noise. I got it for my bedroom which is trap for dust and my eyes, nose and throat were suffering. This does the job of humidifying the room well and so clearing dust from the atmosphere. My eyes, nose and throat are already feeling so much better. If it carries on like this with no troubles then it is worth it's weight in gold and I thoroughly recommend it. I will update if I have any problems. If no update then you can assume it's still working beautifully.

It is quite bulky but when empty is light and easy to move about
We bought this for our granddaughter's room as she frequently has a chesty night time cough that disturbs her sleep. Having read up about humidifiers we thought this might be worth a try. So far it seems to be working well. We will really know if it's helping when she gets her next cold though. The machine: It is quite bulky but when empty is light and easy to move about. I wish it had a fill facility on the top rather than underneath though because it gets a bit messy when it's time to top up. To fill with water you have to lift off the lid then lift off the middle section and turn it upside down. The base of the unit still has water in it even when the machine says it's empty. The middle section sits on this and as you lift it off, the water drips everywhere. I now have cloths handy to soak up the water when doing this job. Underneath the middle section is a screw lid that you remove to fill the unit. I use about 4 litres at a time but it could take more. Once the water is in, you replace the screw lid and turn the container back up the other way and replace it on the base. The whole unit, now full of water has to be carried back to her room. We chose to put it up out her reach and this proves a bit tricky when you are trying to climb up on a chair, balance the tank while water is sloshing back and forth like a wave machine and then place it carefully in position. It has 2 lights. One that they call the nightlight is a blue ring around the control knob. It is quite bright but at least you can turn it off. The tank (as shown in the photo) glows all the time with a pale soft purple/blue light that you cannot turn off.It isn't so bright it prevents sleep and once your eyes adjust to the dark bedroom it gives off enough light to check on your child. It is a nice quiet machine and you hardly notice any sound from it at all.Update: We stopped using it because even on a very low setting her bedroom started getting damp. We made sure that the room was well ventilated but it didn't stop the mould. We ended up having to buy a dehumidifier! We now only use it as a nightlight and the damp problem has cleared up. Disappointing.

Loud machine
The humidifier has become very loud . I purchased in July so it’s under 3 months old . I bought it to use at night time and because it’s so loud I am unable to do this . Reason why I am giving 3 stars . Would like to see if the seller would possibly exchange so I can change this to 5 star . I’m not sure if dodgy Motor in the one I received.

Highly recommend
So much better than my old one! Can set low or other extreme is a huge cloud of mist that freshens the air in a room so fast. Helps my sinus problem. Also have taken it on holiday just last week and it stops aircon drying out a room... Again I used to suffer with aircon and sinuses/sore throat. It also cooled our room to an extent that we didn't need the aircon at all some nights. It's also so quiet.. My last one used to buzz and was annoying to a light sleeper like me. Gives off a nice soothing blue glow as well, light turns red when needs refilling, and has auto shut off. Think I got about 30+hours use on medium setting before I had to refill it. (approx. 4 nights).
