Spot refinish high wear areas
I was sold on the Osmo polyx oil by a friend in the flooring trade. The fact that I will never have to strip down the floor to refinish was the selling point. You can spot refinish high wear areas or big scratch marks. It is labor intensive. I first water popped the new red oak floor, applied the first thin coat with the Osmo brush in 3’ sections in each room, and then wiped off/buffed the excess after 15 minutes. I used a 180 grit screen to sand in between coats on the second day, then wiped down with microfiber cloth. Second coat took much less, same process. I used (3) 2.5 liter cans for 1000 square feet.I also used it on the doors and trim. The Osmo finish has been on the floor while I am finishing the remodel, and is holding up great to all sorts of traffic.Once again, labor intensive for DIY person, but as I said before, spot refinish!

what a waste of money
I bought 700.00 worth of this stuff and a 56.00 brush that you have to get on your hands and knees to apply because it doesn't take any kind of extension pole I can find. Total waste of money. It is going in the garbage as a lesson well learned.
