Georgie is great!
This was a Christmas gift for my daughter. She loves it! She actually asked for a Zoomer Show Pony but after reading the reviews, I wasn't impressed. That's when I found Georgie. She is 9 and able to train it on her own, she does have a louder voice and not too high pitched. Sometimes Georgie doesn't understand what she says, but shows her he didn't understand by cocking his head to the side and making a sound that shows her he didn't understand. She repeats the command and he understands it. My daughter and I are both impressed and love playing with Georgie. It's well worth the price.

He was withdrawing and showing great depression. This little guy perked him up wonderfully
This little puppy was a gift to a special needs person who is in their 40's. He was withdrawing and showing great depression. This little guy perked him up wonderfully. My only suggestion is that the company have it in multiple languages. The receivers of the gift speak only Spanish so we had to translate the command phonetically so Georgie would workWonderful toy and a real help to the family that received it.

Closest to a real puppy you're going to get!
I will start with how adorable the packaging for Georgie is! It doubles as a dog crate and the handle is his collar! Very cute!I was worried upon opening when I saw a usb charging cord and a booklet, that Georgie might have to be programmed. But to my surprise, he comes ready to go! The USB cord is for charging which is very convenient. Most homes have a USB port already, we have tons! So I was happy to see just the cord.My oldest, 6, was so ready to play! You simply say, "Hey Georgie!" And he will yip. Then you give a command. Our first pick was "let's dance!" Because he plays music and dances. So I tried and tried and tried to get Georgie to respond. I have a high pitched voice. He does not like that! Haha. It was a bit frustrating. My daughter got him to listen but not every time. Our youngest, 3, tried too but with his little voice Georgie definitely wasn't listening. So most definitely follow the recommended age group, 6-10 years of age, if your planning on buying Georgie. I was selected to review this product for free, but if I had to spend the $130 on Georgie, I would be a little bummed that he is picky on the pitches of voices he listens to. My husband got him to respond every time without fail. So he likes lower voices for sure and what little kid has a low voice?! None that I know. That truly is my only con.My daughter still has a ton of fun with him as even if you aren't giving him commands he still barks a song and walks a bit and a few other things. If you pat his head he also interacts. Georgie comes with his own rope! And if you place the rope in his mouth he'll play a game of tug-o-war with you. Overall very cute, very realistic puppy!

Cute Puppy! πΆπ
This puppy is cool. I don't like that you HAVE TO SAY " HEY GEORGIE!" for every single command, but what can you say, with a puppy this cute, I don't think you will worry about that. Georgie HAS to be in a quiet room with NO loud TV's and NO people talking loudly in he background. I like the fact that Georgie can charge, no batteries, parents! Georgie is very soft, durable, and fun. Not the best toy ever, but good.

Great idea, poor execution.
The concept of this toy is good. My daughter really wanted a motorized tog toy for Christmas and this one looked interesting. As other reviews have stated, however, the toy has terrible voice recognition, especially with children and that's who the toy is designed for! Makes you wonder how much testing actually went into the product. The commands really don't do much. It would be nice if the child could call to the dog and it would just move forward to them at least. Most actions are boring and get old quick. The command to dance is probably the fullest and most interesting function and even that gets old quick. It's more frustrating than fun in my opinion. You'll just be hollering "Hey Georgie!" half the day to get it to work and your child will be upset when it won't respond to their voice. It's something you really want to enjoy, but is unfortunately lackluster. The collar they make you cut out of the box handle also barely fits around the neck and you have to tape it. A somewhat disappointing Christmas gift for my 4 year old I'm sad to say.

but still a happy customer. Luckily I got this for $47
I bought this for my 5 year old daughter who has been asking for it for a year. She loves it, even though it's not very comfy, she sleeps with Georgie every night and takes him everywhere. He has little trouble understanding her voice, but still a happy customer. Luckily I got this for $47, I don't think it's worth the $70-$100 I've seen it for sale for on other sites.

DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM!!! TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY!
I bought this for my daughter for Christmas. Unfortunately, someone threw out the box so I cannot return it to Amazon. So, I contacted the company who allowed me to ship it to them. They shipped it back to me and said there is nothing wrong with it. This is the WORST toy I have ever purchased. It does not follow any commands of a 5-year-old. It only follows commands of adult voices, and ONLY if you time it exactly properly with the EXACT voice commands, which there are only about a dozen. It takes me about 4 or 5 tries to time it correctly before the dog will actually do what it is supposed to. Seriously, I can't believe they sell this thing for as much as they do. It is a piece of junk and a total waste of money. DO NOT BUY!!!
