Great Gear with a few catches.
We had a chance to test these guns in the woods up near Seattle at Bremer BattleIV (see [...] for more info). These guns are very durable (compared to other brands), and loaded to the hilt with features....warning some adults may have problems with this gear as it is designed for the video gamming crowd...lotsa buttons, bells and whistles. The only drawbacks is that the sensor is on the gun which can be easily blocked - and the aiming is difficult as the sights are on the side of the gun. Only other problem is that it is hard to distinguish between being hit and hitting someone (sounds are too close to being the same) However, the built in games and features out weigh these problems and over all we had a BLAST with this gear....pun intended!

This is a amazing toy!
I bought this set for my son (who is 5) because my brother and I had laser tag, when we were young and loved it. Let me tell you this set it amazing. My son hasn't put it down since he got it (so unfortunatly my husband and I have to wait until he goes to bed to play with it HA!!!) There are games on this simple enough for my son to understand, and also ones that are much more complicated for his Dad and I. We are buying another set (so that we can have our own) and be able to play together with our son and daughter. I would recommend this toy 100 times over any other!!!!!!!

incomplete set
I ordered this set which was more expensive than a couple others because this one was listed collectible very good. I feel like i got scammed. The guns and goggles came fine but there were no cables. If i had known i would have purchased from a different seller. i can't find the cables for sale anywhere! this close to Christmas sending it back for a refund and purchasing a complete set will be practically impossible since i don't have the hundred plus dollars i need to buy a full set. If you are buying this set... be sure that it is what you are expecting and if it doesn't list cables included... don't buy unless you don't mind. the guns themselves are good. goggles are useless since i can't link up. I could have bought the guns on ebay for like 25 bucks a piece and saved crazy money.

Ok
These are pretty fun for a little while but the kids did not seem to stay interested in these for very long

Great fun!
I picked this up at a major discount, and I had low expectations, but my son loves it (and so do I). Fairly durable, impressive functionality.

a bit of a dissapointment
I told my parents that a lazertag set would be a good gift for our two kids, ages 5 & 8. They purchased this set and, well, it is cool and all but it has really not been used. The kit is sturdy and works well, and can be a lot of fun. The problem is, in my opinion, it's waaaay to complicated for anyone younger than a teenager. I was expecting the good old fashioned lazer tag, where you just turn it on and then run around shooting each other. This is not it...I had to spend about a half hour reading the manual to try and explain it to my kids, who lost interest in that time period. Even after trying to explain it, they couldn't really grasp it all that well. The set has a bunch of modes to choose from and starting a game over requires pressing combinations of buttons. I had a hard time remembering what exactly to do to get a game going. I also found that while playing it wasn't all that easy to tell when you had actually shot someone given all the lights flashing on the goggle. So, this could be great for older kids or young adults, but if you have kids under 13 I would recommend looking for a set that's a simpler turn on and go design.

Kids (and adults) love it!
I ordered two sets (4 guns). The guns are great. I thought one was dead right out of box, but I switched the battery holder with the battery holder from another gun and everything was fine. They feel very sturdy, but can't help but worry about the kids dropping them. My nine year-old loves them. We play constantly, and his friends want to come play all of the time. THE GUNS ARE NOT COMPLICATED TO PROGRAM! Very easy. If you just want to start a game, pull the trigger twice . . . there is a 10 second countdown, and then the game starts, even if everyone does not start at the same time, no big deal. Excellent lazer tag system.
