Enclosed Full Vision Mask
Purchased mask to replace wire cage on CCM brand ice hockey helmet, after online research steered me to this product.Dimensionally, the new mask is a perfect fit to the mask. Installation is all done with a screwdriver. Due to the depth of the new brackets at the forehead and the receivers at your temples, you will want to use the new hardware provided. The rest of the screws/snaps etc can be retained if they were in place and functional before. Some reviewers suggested upgrading the chin cup and straps, but so far I have not found the need. The design of the mask allows for replacement of the eye shield independently from the lower open portion of the cage, I would imagine in case you get scratches in the eye shield, that way you would not have to scrap the entire assembly for a new one.Game use: If you have ever felt that your cage wires were distracting and having negative impact on your seeing the ice and puck, this mask will definitely change your perception out there. The increase in visibility is very noticeable. The fact that it is closed in front of your face is also noticeable, as your voice and breathing gets reflected back towards your face. There is pretty good airflow when you are moving on the ice however. I have only played one game with the new mask so far, and did not notice any fogging that other reviewers have mentioned. There was a small amount of moisture/condensation, but I found that cleared as soon as I got back out on the ice. I never had to resort to toweling it off between shifts.Have not suffered any direct impact from puck, stick, or anything else yet during play. The mask does feel as if it should withstand that without issue.Based on my limited use so far, I would not hesitate to recommend the mask. I have been very satisfied with it so far.

This worked pretty good for a while
This worked pretty good for a while. But, we didn't get through half the season before it was fogging constantly during games. It was also an awkward fit for his Bauer helmet. When it wasn't fogged up, he could see very well. But, he did have me put his wire cage back on.

Good concept, needs better fog control
Fogs easily. I like that the lens can be changed out

Great Vision when fit properly doesn't fog on ice
For the most part this facemask is awesome. The first couple times I wore it I could not believe how bright the ice and arena was. I have had it for a year now and I play about 2 games a week and a couple stick and shoots per week too. I have taken at least two direct hits to the mask with no significant damage. My vision is great and I can't imagine going back to a cage. You need to have the mask line up tight with the helmet and your helmet on tight properly to your head. If the mask lines up to low then your nose and mouth will fog your sense. I have noticed if I hang my head down on the bench, the mask will fog a bit, but it does clear within the first couple seconds when I jump on the ice.Do not just take a rag and wipe down the inside of the lens. The reduction of moisture seems to create a thinner layer that actually fogs quicker. Instead fix the fit of you helmet and mask and induce airflow by jumping on the ice and skating. A after market lens spray or just dish soap might fix it, but I don't like to carry extra stuff out on the ice, but there is no need to worry just fix fit and increase airflow. After one year, there is some scratching from contact, slides, and cleaning but I expect to get at least another year or two out of it.The straps on the mask are very durable, but I do not like the advertising of Hockey Ninja on them or the mask. I took off all the stickers on the mask and colored in the white text on the straps. To each their own, but seemed kind of cheesy to me.Great mask and I would buy it again.

better than bauer but already scratched out of the package
better visibility than my old bauer cage but it came with some scratches. i know i'll get them eventually but not too happy that its scratched.....and they are on the inside which is weird (tried to show in photo).Update - returning it. Fogged up bad. Had to remove in the middle of a game. Going back to a cage.

I'll never wear a wire cage again
I had always wanted to try a clear shield rather than the wire cage I'd used since I was a kid, and thought I'd give this a try because the price was right. When I put it on the range of vision on it was incredible, the visor part is big enough that you even see pucks in your feet. I wear glasses when I play (can't do contact, thus the reason for always wanting full face coverage), and this thing was so clear when I put it on that a couple times I tried to adjust my glasses, forgetting that I had this in the way. It never fogged up during the first game either. Assembly on my CCM helmet was very easy (less than 10 minutes). Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a clear shield.

Excellent Value - No Fogging
I feared spending a lot on a face shield after reading how the models from CCM and Bauer fog up a lot. I wear a CCM Tacks 310, size M. This face shield fits great. I have to install the side brackets at their lowest point, but I have no for issues. I've hit the side against both the boards and the ice. The shield held up. I even took an errant puck off the top left corner and I didn't get a scratch. Expecting long use out of the shield.Note: I run warm. Without a visor or shield, I sweat a lot in my helmet. I started to wear a skull beanie under my helmet about the same time I started wearing this shield. That has helped a lot with keeping sweat out of my eyes. It may be helpful in reducing fog too. I also use the provided cleaner before every game/ session.
