Bring this 2 cell model back please
I love this flashlight. Solid construction, powerful, great battery. It is way better than the single cell model they sell today for the same price. I mostly use this on week days in winter to put my kids on the school bus before sunrise.

May get a fifth star if it holds up. (It held up, 5th star granted)
I fish at night. I need quality dependable lighting. This has provided the quality I demand and has also brought flexibility which is a huge bonus. For me, this is replacing a competitors 4 cell LED "magnum power" (get it ;)) which lasted no more than 5 years. It, in return, replaced a 4 cell non led that I got about 5 years out of. I still have one of those, a 3 cell 300ML which I love, and paid quite a bit for, but I'm wondering if I'll get 3 years or 3 more months out of it.The quality of that brand has disintegrated over the last decade or 2.So, needing a new light, I turned to Amazon.I did not even have a light like this on my radar. Most rechargeable lights (earlier generations) were absolute garbage. I received a rechargeable headlight as a gift last year though, and it has been great, so I started researching. With a budget that was quite a bit more than what I paid for this light, I read articles and reviews for hours.I looked at higher end lights, but shied away as I truly didn't think I'd be pleased with a rechargeable cree led.I finally settled on this one, figuring it was small enough to put in my vehicle as my emergency light if I hated it. Plus, I've had great luck with Anker cords and batteries, so figured "what the ell..."I got it, charged it, and used it that night. Took me a bit to get used to the bottom mounted switch (my other brand was side mounted at the top) and the long press (which isn't very long at all) to keep it in the dimmest setting so I wasn't blinded when trying knots or re-baiting lines, wasn't hard to get used to at all. When I needed it to light up the channel (we get floating logs that we scan for) to get back to the dock, dang it was bright.Used it 3 times now, same way, same situations.I am not giving it 5 stars yet as I want to use it a bit to ensure it keeps performing at this level. If it does, I will give it the 5th star.Build feel is excellent. No cheap rattles or any of that garbage I was expecting for this price point.Update 10/27. Still excellent. Giving it the 5th star.

4 years plus, still going
The only issue I've noticed is the spring that hits the bottom of the battery. It gets a bit compressed, which results in a sporadic connection. I stretched it back out carefully, which fixed the problem. This is after 4 years mind you, so overall, very happy with it, and I'll get another one when the time comes. it looks like this one is discontinued, but I'm sure there is a newer model replacement that will do the trick

Very bright + Mode Memory, however.
The flashlight is very bright and it has multiple settings which make it a very versatile flashlight. The cycle of modes or settings include Bright, medium, low, strobe, S.O.S and OFF. However, the flashlight does not need to cycle through all the settings or modes to turn it off, you simply push down on the button for about a second and the flashlight turns off. That action to turn it off also allows the flashlight to record that last setting or mode that was used, allowing it to be turned back on in that very same setting it was prior to being turned off. It also has a telescopic function which allows the flashlight to be used as a spotlight or floodlight which is the biggest selling point in my opinion, as it adds more versatility beyond the other settings.I bought the double cell version as I wanted a flashlight with longer battery life between charges, and also because I realized many of the negative reviews were from costumers whom bought the single cell version. The flashlight has performed really well regarding the function of the different light settings during these few hours I have had it, but it does have some issues in the back/bottom of the flashlight where the function button and the micro usb charging port are located. The multi purpose button itself is rather small and not easily accessible as other larger buttons on other flashlight lights. The reason for the button being small is the fact that right next to it you have the micro USB port used to charge the battery. The port is protected by a flimsy rubber cover that doesn’t have enough elasticity or pivotal function to prevent it from ripping apart, which is exactly what happened to the flashlight I received. I didn’t realize the cover had ripped off until I grabbed it to test it outside and noticed there was no cover and saw it laying on the table. This is not a deal breaker for many, but it does annoy the hell out of me since I have only had the flashlight for a few hours and it already has a broken micro USB port cover and makes me wonder how that may affect the port’s ability to resist water or dust damage. It comes with a wrist strap or lanyard which loops under the flashlight rather than the side, making the flashlight unstable if it ever needs to be sat facing upwards. Overall this is a good flashlight especially for the price, but I really wish Anker would have chosen a different way to protect the USB port as the rubber cover is easily broken off without one being able to notice, leaving the port completely exposed to the elements. I have purchased many Anker products for myself and as gifts and have always had some positive feedback on their products. This product is no exception but I am really considering sending it back based on the poor, flimsy rubber cover that easily brakes off.
