Oracle Database 12c PL/SQL Programming 1st Edition

One of the first books that i bought from Amazon, It is useful if you use Oracle

Wonderful book, I was very impressed by how readable this book was. Many technical books tend to be dry and difficult to read, I felt that the author did a great job at making the book more like a technical conversation. I loved the metaphors used to describe different mechanisms in the oracle database environment, and the charts and images work wonderfully to help visualize how things fit together. Overall a great readable book.

Good book and would buy again.

Oracle Database 12c PL/SQL Programming has met all of my expectations and more. There are plenty of great examples throughout the book that spark imagination and creativity. When you're wondering how something you've just read about works, you don't need to look vary hard to find an example to go with it. At the end of the chapters there are great questions to quiz yourself on as well. I have enjoyed, and continue to enjoy this book.

Recommended to all who have passion in learning PL/SQL programming and would like to learn it from the basic level to master.

This book goes into more details and it is easy to follow with clear explanations. I recommend it if you are serious about learning pl sql

I read this book as a textbook for a programming class in which we were supposed to learn PL/SQL. This book presents itself as an instruction book for learning PL/SQL, but in practice, this book is more like a reference guide for people who are already familiar with the language.The author is a pretty decent writer, but he explains the elements of the language using terms you'd only know if you were already familiar with the elements of the language. He introduces elements, but then immediately proceeds to describe increasingly advanced ways of implementing those elements, without ever first discussing the basics of how to construct them in the first place.This book was frustrating to try to learn PL/SQL from. After an entire semester with this book, I feel like I understand the theory and structure of the language, but still could not tell you step-by-step how to write a cursor or in what instances I would choose a package over a function.
