It worked amazing for about a week or so for each faucet ...
We had a competitors "touch" type faucet for 3 years. Had to replace it twice under warranty. It worked amazing for about a week or so for each faucet we had (3) and then started having problems that we learned to live with. The major problems we had were that the touch on and off was inconsistent and it would randomly turn on and off (on when no one was there and off when we were trying to use it). After a few years of trying to turn it on by tapping and then manually turning it on if it didn't work, I decided to suck it up and buy a new faucet. We were stuck on the idea of hands free so decided to try this one. We've had it for a few months now and so far it has worked flawlessly. We have a single basin sink so I expected the front sensor to be an issue and was happy that it had the option to turn the front sensor off, but it has not been an issue. The quality feels so much better than the competitors touch faucet. Now hopefully it will last for the long run. I do wish it had a better self retracting spray head though. Ours stays in place and returns without much of a problem but sometimes it needs a little push to get seated flush. It doesn't affect the function but is just more aesthetically pleasing to be perfectly flush.

Amazingly useful
This faucet is one of my favorite things about our kitchen remodel!I never realized how many times our kitchen faucet is turned on and off every day-- washing hands, cleaning vegetables, rinsing plates. This faucet is the most used feature in our kitchen. I bought it as an afterthought; it wasn't in the original design, but I heard people raving about hands-free faucets on Gardenweb's kitchen design forums, so decided to spring for the extra $100. I'm so glad I did! This thing is the bee's knees. Very easy and intuitive to use, saves time. It also keeps the counter by the handle much drier and cleaner. We are using the plug, not the battery pack. The electrician had to install a new receptacle (outlet) for the dishwasher anyway, so we just used the other half of that one. The adapter we used is the "Moen 163712 Triad AC Power Adapter for Motionsense". Worked flawlessly right from the start.

Nice at first!
Easy install and works as advertised. Would recommend!Update to this review. The faucet still works great but I have had this faucet 1 year and 9 months and the coating on the base of the faucet is peeling off.

Solid kitchen faucet, finicky touchless sensors.
The design is nice and installation was easy. The touch sensors are a bit finicky. I bought this for my mother and she doesn't like the proximity sensor in front of the faucet. It turns on randomly and unreliably. She was either waiting for it to trigger or getting her sleeves wet at the wrong time. We turned that off. The touchless sensor up top was also very finicky for the first few days. Recently, it seems to have become more consistent and turns on reliably. As far as being just a faucet, I like these high quality Moen units. The spray setting is strong but doesn't splash. The handle is smooth and easy to control. If you have a cluttered under sink cabinet like most people, it's a good idea to get the hose guide even though it's overpriced for what it is.

very nice in function for hands-free faucet, but it's still too expensive - update 2021-02-26
For a kitchen faucet, it doesn't deliver much water at all. The hands-free feature is nice and the toggle between stream and spray has a good solid click between actions. It's much easier installing this new faucet than it was removing the old one :) Apparently the Moen engineers and manufacturing are doing a nice job. Each of the pieces fit together perfectly and functioned well the first time around. The price is a bit steep for the simple nature of what this does, but so far there isn't that big a demand for these, I guess. The only shortcoming I've noticed (beside the high price) is the water flow. It's more like a bathroom faucet in that regard. Kitchen faucets just need more water. It takes a really long time to fill a pot or the sink.Update Feb 26, 2021Still the same trouble with very low water flow. After a few years of using it now, we've decided we won't bother getting something like this again - and definitely wouldn't recommend it.The sensors won't see your hands if you actually put them in the sink to wash, so you can't get a good scrub going on. It's totally frustrating. Reaching over the top to turn it on for a couple minutes works, but it would be much easier if we just reached to the base of the faucet instead.I suppose if you're a super sensitive type that is extremely concerned about germs then it might be worth the trouble so you don't have to touch a faucet. Otherwise, Moen makes some really nice kitchen faucets that don't have a mind of their own. ;-)

LOVE LOVE LOVE our new kitchen faucet!!!
I looked around at several brands/types of kitchen faucets as we began our kitchen remodeling project. I knew we wanted something a bit 'fancy'...and so this motion sensor faucet is perfect!!! The 'hose' part of the faucet has been very useful when I need to fill up my Keurig coffee maker that sits on the counter near the sink. We have a nice big sink and we can wash/clean large pots (even our puppy!!) in the sink using the hose part of the faucet. Not having to touch the faucet in order to turn it on/off is a great feature. It took a few attempts to adjust the counter balance to the hose under the sink so that the hose/faucet would completely detract up into the faucet when we're done using it. We now have it adjusted just perfectly.

I love it
I love it. Great workmanship and easy to install. It works flawlessly and saves water too! Looks great. It is rare I give any product 5 stars. This product deserves it. If there were any improvement It would be nice if a wall wart power supply be included. Right now I am operating on batteries and still fully functional after 5 months of operation. I intend on buying a power supply once the batteries go out.
