I have only used this battery case now for a couple of weeks, but I'm a heavy user of my cell phone and so have stressed it pretty well so far. I am also a disabled veteran, and have little use of my feet, legs, and hands, due to severe peripheral neuropathy.What this means is that I cannot type emails or messages, but, instead, I dictate just about everything. More relevant, is that I drop my cell phone several times everyday because I have little feeling in my hands. I searched far and wide for a large, awkward phone case that I could live with. It's ironic, but most people look for a slim and trim cell phone case. It may sound counter-intuitive, but I need just the opposite. I need something big so that my hands don't overrun the side and disturb the edge screen and even central parts on the phone screen. With a slim and trim case, my fingers wrap around too much on the phone, and I am forever making strange and unwanted Emoji or comments , and have been known to transmit new emails to random people because of it. You can imagine how important it is for me to have just the opposite type of phone case than most people want.This phone case provides several advantages for me. Firstly, it's big. It's thick and allows my fingers to stay along the edges of the phone case rather than wrap-around on to the screen. I love the battery capacity for the case, although it seems to be not as great as advertised. So far, it appears that I will be able to get about two full charges for my Samsung Galaxy Note 9. I don't see how I'm going to get three to four. If this increases in the future I will update this review.This phone case is heavy. If that doesn't bother you, or, like me, actually helps you to secure the telephone in your hand, then it's actually an advantage. Of course, it adds to my anxiety when it does fall, usually on to a tile floor from about four feet high. My only concern with this case in that regard is the screen itself. The case appears sturdy enough to protect the cell phone, and the battery pack. However, the screen is dangerously close to the edge of the sea, unlike the Love Mei case that I had on my Note 8. The Love Mei case gave me a substantial border along the inset screen, so the screen was protected when falling by the inset feature, and the wide border provided my fingers with a good obstruction before they could wrap around to the screen. Unfortunately, this case has neither of those features. To be fair, not many phone cases do. I have been a fan previously of OtterBox Defender phone cases. They are, to be honest, the industry leader in tough cases, and arguably cannot be beat at this time.No doubt, the OtterBox has better protection then ZeroLemon case does. However, the battery case back up with the cell phone at all times was a strong incentive for me to try this case. Hopefully, the screen protector that I am putting on provides the protection that I'm missing and looking for. And, hopefully I'll be getting a little bit better performance out of the battery case in the future. Please understand, it's not that bad. It just doesn't quite match the performance standards that the manufacturer has stated. I'm so shocked.In summary, I would recommend this case, I would buy it again, and I will update this review if anything changes.

So let me start with the obvious, this case is essentialy a huge battery strapped to your phone. The case is not attractive and it is LARGE. What else do you expect from a highly protective case with a 10000 mAh battery inside. If you are trying the show off the beautiful curves of your Note 9 this is not the case for you. If you are going on a weekend backpacking trip this case will get you through the weekend and provide some serious drop protection for your phone.It has a hard case and frame which is surrounded by some very thick TPU. The only way to damage your phone while wearing this case is to drop it face first; if it hits on any other part of the case your phone will likely not feel a thing. The case is not water proof so don't take it for a swim. There are notches on the sides so the case can be used with an external clip. Sorry slim fit jeans are out, you won't be getting this case into those pockets.The battery should get you at least two full charges of your Note 9. As with the 5000 mAh upgraded case it has Quick Charge and Sync passthrough. Note that the Quick Charge only applies to charging the phone (via cable), the case itself supports standard charge speeds so it will take a few hours to fully charge it and your phone.The cutout and ports all line up nicely and the buttons require a little extra umph to press as the case is rather thick. Even though the case is rugged it doesn't have a huge bezel or chin so it retains the aspect ratio of the Note 9.My only concern is that there is no way to wirelessly charge the phone or use NFC while the case is on. These are two features I use on my phone so this would not be a daily driver for me. I use it for emergency power or when on a long weekend with limited access to charging.The case does what it purports to do well, which is to protect your phone from damage and provide extended power. As usual Zerolemon warranties all of their products for 1 year so you know it is a well built case and they will stand behind it.
