Ultimate Chrome Powder Coating Paint (1 LB)

The stuff works pretty good and it looks nice. I'm using it and it's cheap Harbor Freight powder coating gun and it still comes out great

I wanted a chrome look before I painted it candy blue. It will never look like chrome. Only 2 paints do that and they cost $200+ I could take to dip in chrome if I had 2 hours to drive there. But The reason I give this 4 over 3 stars is it's tough paint. most paint you can scratch with your finger nail. Not this stuff. But you should clean it and then clean it again., before you ever powder coat it. and be sure not to touch it before it is baked. to do so will mere the surface or remove a even layer of the powder.Baking this will give off a odor but what paint don't. you should use a respirator when you spray any paint this one you can just use a dust mask. that is a bonus too.the first pic is a close up the second is what you could have if you are good with air brushing. looks nice but I wanted a real chrome look under the candy, so the flames would shine out at you But you get what you pay for. for the money I am happy for now..

I coated an old gold cast iron tub faucet and it looks great. not the same shine but very close. As with all powder coatings surface prep is important. Smooth material like the drain cover look perfect.

I didn’t want rattle can chrome for my project and actual chrome plating would be logistically impossible for me so I tried this and to my surprise the project ( rudder peddles) came out better than expected.

Used this to powder coat an aluminum intake manifold. I sanded down the rough, sand cast surface a bit before applying the ultimate chrome. Top coated it with clear. It came out great, looks like it was dipped in liquid glass. Appears tough and durable too. I needed to sand off a little overspray on a machined surface and this powder coat is hard!

Looks nice when finished. Easy to coat. Didn’t hold the coat for long and stained after 30 days not sure if it needs to be cleared after the first coat.

Couldn't believe how much it looked like real chrome.

Poor adhesion and easy to mark up... poor quality stick with prismatic
