I was initially hesitant about compressed fiber options, but after seeing friends’ Epicurean boards hold up long-term, I made the switch—and it’s been a worthwhile upgrade.Performance & Durability:- Cutting feels similar to working on slate or butcher block. Knife marks appear early, but blade sharpness holds up better than on hard surfaces.- Although marketed as dishwasher-safe, I hand wash (hot water, soap, sponge) to prolong life. Drying takes about twice as long as plastic but does not impact quality, even after full saturation.- Lightweight and significantly thinner than OXO plastic boards, yet remains highly stable thanks to rubber feet. Both sides are fully usable.-True to measured size (and range of sizes is excellent for varied kitchen use).Care & Maintenance:- Some minor off-gassing out of the box—gone within 1–2 days after a rinse.- Requires board butter every 3 months to maintain surface integrity.- Life expectancy is 2–3 years of heavy use, potentially up to 5 years with lighter workloads.Appearance:- Desirable look to the kitchen set, and can be a cutting board as much as a serving board.Minor Issues:- My board arrived with a surface cut. Cosmetic damage is inevitable over time, so not a major concern.Verdict:Highly recommended despite the higher upfront cost. Protects knife edges, avoids microplastic contamination, and offers a lighter, more sustainable alternative to plastic or heavy boards.

I was looking to move away from plastic cutting boards and was torn between getting a wooden or glass one. Then I came across this paper-based cutting board and decided to give it a try—and I’m so glad I did!It completely satisfied my expectations. It’s sturdy yet lightweight, feels great to cut on, and doesn’t dull my knives. What I especially love is how low-maintenance it is—super easy to clean and dries quickly.Highly recommend if you’re looking for something that’s functional, eco-friendly, and a bit different from the usual options

So far so good. I'm very relieved to not be using a plastic cutting board, as the cutting board which I had been using was only 6 years old and covered with slices. I treated this with an oil that I also use on a wood butcher block island in my kitchen. This is not a plastic, but a by-product of the wood and paper industry. So far I cannot see where I have done any cutting, so that's a big plus.

The black particles from the board surface keep coming out. now I don’t even want to use it. Those potatoes, I had to wash again after I chopped. I called the customer service, they said to send the pictures and I did. All they send be back is explaining how to take care of the cutting board.

Works well but did not arrive in pristine condition.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I purchased the small cutting board just to try something non plastic. I prefer to use a dishwasher to clean so wood is out. I was pleasantly surprised after using it for a few weeks. Knives don’t bounce off the top when cutting. It’s like using a wood cutting board.

Very high quality. Love the color. Got rid of all by wooden cutting boards and switched to this. Bought multiple sizes.

Love these healthier option cutting boards. They have held up well in the dishwasher.
