LEGO Minecraft The Nether Railway 21130

I’m giving this a 5 Star because it delivered what i ordered and packaging was pristine. I ended up gifting it to a 12 year old for a birthday gift with a Ripleys believe it or not book. The Book was a bigger hit for him. I think perhaps the legos were to “young for him” just a personality thing. He’s a new member to our family and while some 12 year olds will find this great, I had a sense it was a bomb for his age group. His 8 year old step brother loved his mine craft legos purchased on amazon for the dual birthday party so i have nothing to say bad about the product itself. Except, know your audience lol

This Nether Railway is a great addition to the Lego Minecraft world. My 9-year-old son built this set, and reports that it is awesome! The railway feature incorporates some new pieces beneath the track to tie it all together (at least they are new to me). The rail system works really well in my opinion. This is not meant for a train, just the single car that comes with the set. Although the little car is a pretty simple build and should be easy to replicate with common Lego pieces. As with many Minecraft sets, this one comes in modules that can be rearranged in different layouts (at least 10 distinct modules...maybe more). So there is lots of versatility in how the railway can be constructed. I don't play Minecraft, so I can't comment too much on how closely this set reflects the scenery in the game. But my son, who loves the Legos and the video game, assures me it is "really awesomely good".

Couldn't be much more pleased. Maybe an instruction page. Love the new pizo ignition. Didn't think I really needed to replace them, but they perform so much better!

My 6 year old son is a big fan of Minecaft. I don't follow, so I don't know the details (characters and which worlds and all that), but he had fun putting this lego set together. This was a Christmas gift for him and out of several toys he received, this was the first item he wanted to play with. It took him maybe two hours (almost all on his own, just a bit of help when he got confused) to put it together. He decided to extend the rail track with lego pieces he already had from other sets. Only reason I took off one star off is that in some parts of the instruction, it was very hard to tell the color difference (printed color was not true to the lego color), so my son ended up picking the wrong colored pieces (maroon colored pieces where he should have picked brown), which resulted in missing pieces later on when he needed those pieces. By the time he came to me for help he was way ahead and we had to go back several pages back on instruction to replace with the correct color pieces (which took me some time too because even to me, the color in instruction wasn't correct and I would have picked the pieces that my son used, which would lead me to the frustrating situation where I would end up with missing pieces - because they were previously used). I wish the instruction had more true to the actual lego pieces. Brown should be shown real brown and dark maroon would be more maroon.

Great gift for my Minecraft lover kids! Had a lot of fun building and some interactive parts and moving Minecraft that you push manually. Kids had a lot of fun building and playing with it!

You get what you pay for with Lego products. This took a while for my son and I to build but it was worth it! The train track is very fun.

I put this together for my five year old son, and it's one of the only sets he hasn't taken apart. I was a ton of fun to assemble and it's a ton of fun to play with.

My son loves loves Lego Minecraft. I just wish the prices weren't so high on them. I enjoy spending time with him making his Lego world's.

I was very pleased with this gift for my nephew. He absolutely loved it, and played with it, as soon as he got it. I was also happy that it came on time. My brother and his wife left for Newfoundland on the 19 of Dec., so we had to exchange gifts early. It came when it said it would.

This is a good set of your child likes minecraft, child loved the railway aspect.

Exactly what I was looking for for a birthday present

Our Minecraft loving 6 year old enjoyed putting it together but that was it. Like all the other LEGO sets after constructing it once it was forgotten. I give it 4 stars because he liked it. Otherwise our kids never reuse the LEGO kits. The best value for money has always been just a box of blocks. They get played with forever. These expensive kits just end up being mixed up with the big boxes of LEGO and aren’t really worth it - at least for our kids.
