I enjoy these as a replacement of regular color dyes. The bottle sizes are about average, and value is fair for money. After all, anything better for us is going to be twice the price. When used for baking the colors run lighter, if you want a darker color then more drops will have to be added. Overall, happy this is an option for colorful desserts.

We wanted to make the change and try these natural food dyes, and they work really well considering the ingredients are natural!Since they are natural, the colors are more pastel or light. You’ll need to up the amount for richer color. Nonetheless, the colors are still true to their color. The bottles are durable and are conveniently sized as other brandsI don’t mind the lighter colors so I am not sure how much you’ll need for that, but they are lasting. :)

I love that the dye is natural but I put a lot in my frosting and could not get the colors to pop. I made purple, pink, and blue for a unicorn cake. All just seemed very muted which was still cute just not as bright as I was going for. As long as you’re good with a pastel type look then you’ll love them!

These are great for not having artificial dyes in them. Just don’t expect super bright colors. They mix well and also blend well.

I wanted to love these! I really needed natural dye for the eggs but after following all the instructions , the eggs barely had any color at all…and they all looked the same …better use beets and tumeric next year

These colors are actually really great! They come out as a more “pastel” color. As you can se on the cake photos the very red flowers are done with the regular red dye and the lighter red flowers (and all of the other details) are done with the watkins colors. They mix in very well to butter creams as well as icing. I have baked with these as well and since they are natural, most of the color tends to bake out by the time the cake is done. I made red velvet cake with these once and it turned out just a slightly reddish brown. If you use a lot of the blue or green, I do notice a slight taste, but if you have ever used spirulina, then you know it does have a bit of a taste. The texture of these are a bit more gel-like, but not as solid as gel colors, and it is pretty easy to mix up the color that you are trying to achieve. Overall I would recommend these is you are trying to avoid the regular FD&C dyes.

I only used the red, it is very light, mixing it with chocolate melts doesn’t work very well, it ruins the chocolate when heated with it or added when chocolate is hot.

el producto es bueno y no toxico para niños, el problema fue que lo mandaron sin empaquetado extra y por ser liquido se chorreó, supongo que el vendedor no tuvo la culpa pero si deberian de tomarlo en cuenta para futuros pedidos

This is good I wish they would put the colour mixtures on the back of the box. I had to google it when I was mixing the colours. It’s a little expensive aswell. My son wanted to make slime and I wasn’t going to the grocery store just to get the stuff to make slime. I didn’t find there was a flavour to it either. They are easy to use as long as you are using just the one colour and not mixing them together. I found the yellow was super thick aswell and almost seemed like jelly.
