While this cabinet may seem more like a cute toy model than a serious piece of ...
To start with, I own a lot of very expensive, top end bass gear and have been playing for 40 years. While this cabinet may seem more like a cute toy model than a serious piece of equipment, it's actually quite impressive. First, you need to have reasonable expectations for a single 10" speaker in a cabinet this small and light. You also need to agree that it's pretty rare to need a 412 or 810 cab to play with an acoustic trio in a small room or in an acoustic jam session in a living room or basement. The cab's speaker is rated for 300 Watts at 6 ohms (I know the add says 4 Ohms, but the sticker on the cab says 6 Ohms), so most any of the newer Class D light weight heads will power it with no problem (but they will not do 2 of these cabs unless they can run lower than a 4 Ohm load - and most Class D bass amps cannot - if you want to run 2 cabs, get the 8 Ohm version). While you won't be keeping up with loud drummers or guitarists with half stacks, you'll be amazed at the sound quality and volume this thing can produce. It is very even across the full range of bass frequencies. To my surprise, it is not the least bit shy in the low range (I play 4 string bass, not sure how it would do on low B for you five string folks) and handles the higher frequencies quite well for a single driver cab (there is no separate high frequency transducer, so don't expect sparkle, sheen or presence like you'd get in a multiple-driver cab). I find the sound to be very nice with a passive or active bass - it's touch reminiscent of old school sealed cabs. This thing is great for practicing alone, relatively quiet rehearsals or coffee house type gigs with a couple guitars and PA support for vocals. If you get stuck with a stage venue where space is tight, and the band maintains reasonable stage volumes, you could also use this as a bass monitor and DI from your head to the FOH system. Overall, I'm glad I bought it and am continually surprised at how good it sounds (once again, when used in more controlled acoustic/folk/trio versus "rock and roll/crank it to 11" type settings).

started to buzz
I really wanted to like this cabinet- I bought it for upright bass paired with a TC electronics tiny amp. it sounds very good. the cabinet is a bit heavy for the size. however just after playing for through it for about 15 mins total I started to hear a buzz with every note. I tried it with different 2 amps and ran the amps through another cabinet to make sure it was not the amps or the bass. very disappointed and returned it. Might have been a lemon, these things happen. I ordered a Gk 112MBX instead....

Best Bang for the Buck!
I bought this as a practice cabinet to use with a Carvin BX Micro amp head and I can't believe the sound! Tight, punchy mids, clear highs, and with a little compression, handles low B just fine. It even has surprising volume for its size. Also, my acoustic bass sounds great through this to the point I will be using it on stage in future acoustic performances.Worth the money!

AWESOME. Money well spent-back strain SAVED!!
For those who have physical issues (age, pain, etc) and are tired of lugging heavy gear, please consider this product. This cab is *amazing*-BIG sound-clear, and probably the richest low end for a quality bass sound that I have ever heard...sorry, Peavey :( . Just played an outside gig on a main street in town , and this cabinet was absolutely perfect. Almost unbelievable !!

Sounds great, handles the power
Bought it for my Ashdown CTM-15, but sounds great with my Ampeg SVT, too. I am pleased and pleasantly surprised at the sound for such a small cabinet. One could argue a larger cabinet would be worth looking at, but I was needing the smallest physical size I could find.

Great Box.
Heavier than expected, but great as my monitor with the rhythm section. Using it for string bass and electric, using aGK MB200.
