Orange Amplifiers Crush PiX Bass Series CR100BXT 100W 1x15 Bass Combo Amp Orange

In my experience, each Orange amp has been hit or miss with me, but that is because each model has a unique sound and feel. This amp is no exception, but falls under the love it category. This amp is bumpin' but has great sound clarity. I've heard that the 5th string makes the logo rattle, but after half a year using my 5 string jazz, I've never experienced this no matter the tuning.The features are pretty standard, with the 4 band eq and tone knobs being pretty nice. Unfortunately the gain is probably the weakest part of this amp for me, it just sounds undesirable turned up past 1 o'clock. Another characteristic of this amp to be wary of is how it almost gives a compressed (good compressor) sound. This definitely helps taming the p-bass, but some people may dislike this. It delivers a good deal of sound and can give an interesting distortion when cranked up, but also sounds great at bedroom volumes. If you find yourself liking the sound of Oranges, this amp can open up a lot of possibilities to your sonic palette despite being just a combo practice amp. Fair warning, this thing weighs a ton, but that just helps make it feel just as sturdy as its construction.

Quality is tip top. The tone is definitely a matter of taste but I love it. I play with a drummer and 2 guitar players. I have the volume between half and 3/4 and it sounds great. I could probly turn down a bit and be fine, but I love hearing it.

First some background: I've been playing bass for 2 years have used Line 6, Eden, Peavey, Marshall, Orange and Kustom amps and Ibanez, Peavey, JB Player, Fender, Yamaha, Epiphone and Squire bass'. So let me start by saying I talk to lots of musicians I respect that have a high opinion of Orange, but in my experience they haven't been so great. I tried this particular amp at a local guitar shop and supposedly it hadn't been abused but it sounded like a fart to me. This amp had no tone (although it did have a cool built in tuner :]) It had decent equalizer options (but no tone no matter how much i tried to equalize). For the price you're going to pay for this amp I would hold it to a high standard. Don't take my word for it? Fine. But do yourself a favor and try this amp out thoroughly before you buy it. The one I played could've been a lemon (but supposedly it wasn't) and in full transparency I think Kustom Amps (specifically my KB200) have amazing tone (if that tells you anything).

Warm and mellow, all the way through to gritty slap, I can play all sorts on this amp and it sounds great. The really decent equaliser on it allows me to hone in and perfect the sound I want. (I'm using a Fender Jazz with it).I use it as a practice amp at home and every couple of weeks at gigs. The direct out allows me to wire it up to a solid sound system. The regular sound engineer at the venue I play at the most says he loves the tone that he gets from it and it's the best of 4 or 5 regular bassists who use Ashdown amps.This amp gets the thumbs up from me - super happy.

スタジオでの練習，小さなライブ会場で使っています。ベース＆ギター用アンプとして使おうと思い購入しました。ベースはG&L L-2000を使用していますが，スイッチの切り替え（L-2000はPUのシングルorハムの切り替えや，パラレルorシリーズの切り替えができます。）をした時，違いがはっきり分かりました。相性もいいと思います。ギターは，マルチエフェクターをつないで使用しています。あまり試していませんが今のところ問題はなく，輪郭のはっきりした音が出ています。他に，良かったところは・チューナーがついている　　1回ボタンをポチッと押すだけでチューニングができるので楽でいいと思います。・センド，リターンあり・30キロありますが，部屋から車まで位なら何とか運べる。（女性はちょっと厳しいかも）・部屋やスタジオに置くと目立つ　　存在感があります。かわいらしいです。悪かったところは特にありませんが，ヘッドフォン出力がないので，自宅での練習には使いにくいです。100W位のアンプは，ヘッドフォン出力がついているものが多いですが，この点は，購入の際注意が必要だと思います。

これは、もう３５年も前、バンド仲間が何故か持っていて、その存在感に圧倒されたものです。ステージで使うことはありませんでしたが、性能はともかく、この色が好きだし、ベースのみならずギターの練習用にもって言うのなら、更には、インテリアとしてと言うなら、絶対、これでしょう。
