Saucony Men's Throttle Shorts

These are great shorts! After a MAJOR chafing incident on a medium length run, I had to try something. These are great! The boxer brief type lining is nice and light, not a real compression short and doesn't seem to hold in the heat as some others I've tried. The only negative is that the liner, which is fluorescent yellow, seems to bleed onto white items. On sweaty Florida runs, I take a small hand towel and tuck it into a gear belt while running. The yellow color has bled onto several towels and today it even ran down my legs into my socks (see the pic)! I think it will probably stop happening once I wash them instead of just rinsing them off between runs. I think it's a minor point but keeps it from being 5 stars. I will be buying more.

I loved the old version of the shorts. I used them to avoid chaffing during my runs.This new version with the neon yellow netting "compression short" inside (no compression at all), climbs up your leg as you run. I have to constantly tug the netting down during my runs.Not only that, the netting "pockets" suck. I've lost two keys because somehow the constant motion makes they key poke through the netting and eventually fall out. I thought it was a fluke the first time. Not so much when it happened again, with the dang keychain ring attached.Still, it's better than no chafing protection, so I still use them. But I don't put anything on the pockets. I'll be looking for new shorts in the near future.

Bought these for my sons who are runners. According to them: Material is light weight and has great movement for running. The inner lining is nylon mesh - allows for air circulation, prevents chaffing, wicks away sweat and drys quickly. Because they are a bit pricey, I only purchased 2 pair each for my sons (they run 5-6 days a week. I find they are the only shorts they want to wear and I'm washing them every other day - they seem to be holding up very well with all the washing. One note, I noticed that the inner mesh lining can catch and pull on zippers or velcro closures so keep that in mind when washing. Great product and I will no doubt be buying more in the near future.

My go-to shorts, but they really messed up this version. They changed from a high-quality liner to a breathable mesh under - and the mesh is disappointingly low-quality. It falls apart surprisingly quickly, leaving you with an uncomfortable, ropey remnant that binds and chafes.

Excellent training shorts! inner mesh comfortable and firm in support. Best training shorts for high volume run training I have ever worn.

It was exactly what I was looking for. Although the nice design made it look good, it was the comfort that won me over. Buying another pair in a different color right now.

Good product, great fit, but already unraveling so not sure how long they will last.

Love these. There is no chaffing.

These shorts perform well and the fit is on (I'm size 32 waist and the medium fit well). I ordered the black/black version which has a yellow liner.

These need to become available again! They are the best running shorts I own.

The quality of these shorts is fine -- they're well-made. There are several problems, though, that made me rate them as 2 stars.--First, they fit very small.

As other reviewers mentioned, the liner isn't really "compression" but does prevent chaffing. It also is florescent yellow and bleeds onto EVERYTHING!

Im always a small but these shorts in size small are tiny. They are now worthless to me... huge waste of money. Order a size up unless you want your nads crushed.
