Philips BTM2310 Micro Bluetooth Music System

After looking at the one and only review i decided to take the plunge , Because the review was only two star and the reason for this was because the Clock display was poor ? So ' was i bothered about a Clock display ? No. What matters is the quality of the Music Hi-Fi and sound. Philips is one of the best makes in electrical goods ! and it has Bluetooth, i payed a mere £69.99 for it and looking at some of the other makes and wanting well over £130 with no Bluetooth fitted i thought what the hell i'll take the Philips ! And am so glad i did because the sound and quality is what i expected from Philips and Yes they are still simply years ahead . Buy one !

Poor design - clock display disappears after 15 minutes on standby. No means of changing this mode to permanent clock display on standby. After exchange of many e-mails, Philips insist this is not a fault. Obviously poor design then!!!! Same flaw on model BTB23125 (same as above but with DAB). Evidently Philips were too busy putting on all the 'bells and whistles' to get the basics right.CD player also relatively noisy on occasions.Attitude of Philips Customer Services is simply to 'stonewall'. Evidently it was meant to be like this to save power. I am also assured it's not really a clock, but a timer for the sleep/alarm mode. Unable to explain why 'clock' is only useful for 15 minutes.Sad really - it could have been a really good product

Given the price I paid I initially thought the sound and features were excellent and worth four or five stars. But what sort of tinpot company supplies a music system without a headphone socket? Honestly, it beggars belief. Late night sessions on my exercise bike listening to tunes when the family are tucked up in bed fast asleep are not an option. Shame on you Philips.
