Spigen Neo Hybrid Designed for Google Pixel 3 Case (2018) - Gunmetal

I purchased this case in 2018 and am reviewing it the first day of 2022. This case is still in great shape!! It has really held up and still looks great. Color never faded and the gold around the edges is still there with no scratches or scrapes. It fit my phone perfectly and is a nice looking case. I have even been using alcohol wipes on the case, something I would never do if it were not for COVID, and it still looks great! I noticed that I never left a review and thought since I have had it so long, I may as well tell people how it held up. I was so impressed when I scrutinized it for this review. I expected to find the normal wear and tear, but it still looks almost new. I am not particularly hard on my phone, but it is with me daily, either in my purse or pocket. I have dropped it and this case protected my phone even when I was sure there is no way it could have survived. I really am impressed!

This review is for the Gunmetal version of the case.Overall, this is a really nice case that enhances the look of the Pixel 3. I like that it's slim, doesn't add too much bulk or weight, and that the cutouts all match up perfectly to the phone. The edges around the screen, camera, fingerprint reader, and usb-c port are unobtrusive. I found the buttons to be nice, responsive, and not too hard or too easy to accidentally press.A few small caveats. Yes, the case does not provide as much grip as you would think it would on the back. This is because the pattern is a lot smaller and the grooves are not as deep as they appear on the product images. Small particles also have a way of finding themselves lodged in the areas where the case meets the phone. It was a little hard for me to install since there's not a lot of give/flex, but once the case was on I felt that the phone would be protected enough for regular use.I would recommend giving this case a try if you're looking for something that's sleek and solidly designed to put on your Pixel 3 phone.

***Update 5/3/21:So noticed today after my phone fell out of my pocket onto the tile floor at work that the top corner of the case was completely cracked, so that the plastic trim is now completely separated at the corner. After taking the case off the phone, I noticed that there are actually small cracks on all 4 corners of the case (see pictures). Now I will say that for the amount this phone gets dropped, it has still held up quite well and my phone has never sustained any damage,aside from a crack on the tempered glass screen protector right after I got the phone. So durability isnt the BEST, but for the price it worked very well. Wish they still sold this in burgundy, but unfortunately the only available anymore is the black, so I will be trying out a new case brand this go around. ***I'll preface this by saying I tend to drop my phone. A lot. So having a sturdy case is important, but I hate super clunky ones. I also tend to set my phone down and "lose it", because I have black countertops and previous cases have all had black rims around the screen. I loved the look of this gold and burgundy one, as it was stylish, sleek, and still visible without being obnoxiously bright and colorful. I feel like it barely adds any bulk to my phone, but I've dropped my phone several times and the result so far has just been a few minor dents/scrapes on the gold edges and corners. And I managed to shatter the glass screen protector with an Otterbox DEFENDER on, which is probably one of the clunkiest, heavy duty cases I can think of, yet the screen has been fine with all the spills while this case has been on. In the past I have put a rubber card holder on the back of my phone cases, but decided not to on this one because I liked how thin the phone felt and the look of the case. Also I'm not sure how well it would hold with the texture on the back. Lastly, some reviews mentioned the case was too slick to hold securely, but I haven't had this issue. It could PROBABLY be more secure if it was more of a rubberized finish, but I find it no more slippery than any other phone case I've used regularly.Pros:- super sleek and thin. Doesn't add much bulk to your phone- has held up to multiple drops on concrete from 4-5ft, with little damage to the case and none to the screen protector- Buttons are pretty responsive, but stiff enough you won't accidentally press them in your pocket- charging port and fingerprint reader easily accessibleCons:- They discontinued the burgundy case for Pixel 3 (but not 3XL), so I won't be able to replace this one if it ever truly breaks- may be a bit "slick" for some people, but I had not issues with the grip on it.- may not work well for adhesive card holders on the back due to the texture.

I bought my first Spigen case for my Pixel (1st gen) and loved it so much that when I recently bought my Pixel 3 the first thing I did was look for another one by Spigen.This case is awesome, plain and simple! It fits the phone perfectly and adds just enough "bulk" that it fits in my hand perfect.The finger print hole is exactly the perfect size and the beveled edges make it so your finger easily goes onto the sensor just right, every time.The camera cut out is reenforced and shiny and I was initially concerned that there might be some issues when taking pictures with the flash. I've had the phone for about 2 months now and I've never had an issue with glare from the flash.The drop protection is excellent as well. I've dropped my device onto asphalt and concrete a number of times and while the case is definitely scratched up, the phone is still in perfect condition.10/10 would totally buy again!

I have never felt the need to use a cell phone case that fits on the phone itself as I typically wear my phone in a pouch holster attached to my belt. When I got the Pixel 3 with a glass shell I decided to go for something that was still thin enough for the phone to fit in the holster but would protect the phone if I accidentally dropped it. Well, if your looking for something similar this is the case for you. The case has a stiff rubber shell that fits really tight on the phone and the outer metal band make the case appear to be part of the phone itself instead of a separate case. In addition, since my old phone was about the same size as the Pixel 3 with the case on, I didn't have to purchase a new leather pouch as the one I have still worked. In addition to everything else mentioned the case gives the phone a non-slip feel and the covers over the buttons allow the buttons to function with little effort. In my opinion, besides being rugid this this case is thin and stylish.

Cette coque est parfaite en ce qui me concerne. Elle s'adapte parfaitement à mon google pixel 3 et j'adore son look. Elle permet de bien protéger le smartphone (plusieurs chutes sans dégâts) tout en assurant une bonne préhension grâce à la surface en léger relief. Autre point positif : elle s'enlève facilement (pour la nettoyer par exemple). J'avais initialement acheté la coque otterbox symmetry, tellement dure à enlever que je redoutais de casser le téléphone en deux à chaque fois. C'est pour cette raison que j'ai changé pour la spigen et je ne le regrette pas ! Je l'utilise avec un verre trempé et je suis confiante que mon smartphone est bien protégé.

Perfect fit for Pixel 3

En mi opinión es una funda extraordinaria. Queda ajustada al celular. Le da mucha robustez al equipo sin agregarle mucho espesor. Los materias son de alta calidad y los colores "Gunmetal" se ven premium. Deja un espacio entre la pantalla y superficie al ponerlo boca abajo. Muy recomendada.

I like Spigen products, they are well proceed and good quality. I have had TPU cases and they are fine, basic cases. I wanted something a little different this time to be unique. This case looks great with the outer bezel and the textured TPU inner case it is different. It is very tight fitting but not hard to install, remember to install it as two pieces and it is a breeze. I do find the outer bezel a little slippery as it is hard plastic but feel it will protect the phone in a drop better than a plain TPU case. The fit and finish is phenomenal it actually almost feels like part of the phone. The relief for the finger print reader feels nice and is nicely centered. I did have an issue with the tempered glass screen protector I applied, the inner case was pushing on the edge of the screen protector and lifting it off the screen. All I had to do was sand off a millimetre of the case and it fits perfectly.

The colour is so unique and not aggressively bright. If you want a unique back cover go for it. The fitting is top notch and it will not make your phone bulky but little elongated on all sides.The pattern is very beautiful at the back which adds to the premium feel of this case.Unique colour + sturdiness + quality = go for it!!
