Excellent complete tool set with good quality for its low price.
Excellent collection of tools of better than expected quality for the very low price. This is not a kit of surgical steel or titanium tools for professionals but is the next best thing at a rock bottom price. Top quality professional versions of this kit would easily cost 10-20 times more. Pieces: All the pieces shown in the listing are here. I fondled them all and they seemed well made for their price range. Instructions: The pamphlet that comes with the kit was well-produced with well constructed English. However, it doesn't spell out the details. E.g., to change a wristband, it simply says use the "watch holder" and the "pointed tool". There are several tools that are pointed and there was no info about what the so-called "watch holder" is. The only thing like a holder is the square yellow plastic cube with slots crisscrossing it - none of which is large enough to hold any but the very thinnest of watches. In the end, I just held the watch and use the "pointed tool" I found to had a cloven tip which I assumed (correctly) was for gasping the tension collar on a wristband's pin. And, for that, it work far better than I thought it would. The old adage, "The right tool for the right job" still applies - and always will. Thus far, I only used the pointed pin tool noted above. You use its tiny cloven end with two tiny tines that you use to grasp around the pin, just above the edge of the sprung cylinder that surrounds it. You then press down and the pin comes out - easy as pie. That said, I have no doubt the tiny tines of the cloven tip can easily be damaged if misused or abused. But that's true of all tiny caliber tools of any quality. I look forward to using the watch case removal spanner tool which has 3 studs with interchangeable heads that grasp the indentations around those watches that have a large disk-like cover. You can tell those kind by a number of slots or indentations around the outer edge of the circular back. There's no easy way to open those without this specialized kind of spanner tool. If you have any larger or older timepieces, they'll likely have this kind of cover. For me, the entire kit is worth the price for just the pointed tool and spanner wrench alone. It's soft, fabric-textured case is well made and sturdy. All in all, assuming you don't get a lemon, it's a very good value.

A very well equipped kit with an illustrated instruction manual
EZTool Professional Watch Repair Tool Kit: Plus 41-Page Illustrated "Maintenance & Service" Manual What a wonderful kit for repairing and working with your watches this is. While it isn't perfect, I'd love a more heavy duty and adjustable pin remover (the big blue thing), it comes with an illustrated instruction book. I have some of these tools, though many more are in this kit but some where a mystery to me how to exactly use them. I've built quite a collection of watches over the years and I used to go to the jeweler kiosk at a shopping center for batteries and sizing the bands. I've recently been doing those myself and saving a ton of money. While I don't have the skill to do the more complex things, using a kit like this, with some practice, will save you more than its cost in one or two use times. Having the book, that's the game changer. It is well written and beautifully illustrated with color photos of all the tools and even some upgrade recommendations as you get better at this new skill. I'm very impressed and wish I had this book earlier. I've been teaching m self over time and still learned more in reading the book. The tools in the kit, and all mounted in a great carry case, are complete enough to really get you started and working. There is one replacement pin for the link removal tool and you can easily find more on Amazon and elsewhere. That's the part that you can break in a wrong move with the tool. I've broken a few in my time. Luckily those parts are cheap and come in large quantities. The rest are pretty durable and will last a good long time. Don't be afraid to upgrade the tools you want to over time. That's when you'll know you're progressing. This kit is a great starter kit, it's not what you'll see in a professional shop. It's what you need to learn what to do and not break the bank in learning. Start on some cheaper watches or maybe adjust some metal bands for a watch that doesn't quite fit right. You'll get the hang of what to do then watch out, you'll be adjusting your friends watches and changing batteries. Maybe a new business is starting, nah it's just fun to help your friends. I highly recommend this kit and the book is the true jewel here, no guessing what to do it guides you well. This product was provided at or nearly no cost for the purpose of evaluation and review.

Good set for the price!
Ok I'll start out by saying that I bought his case due to the high reviews. BE AWARE: The instruction manual is not actually with the kit, but it's an online "booklet" which gets sent to you by the company in an email when you order. I found this to be a great option but also a cramp in the behind if I lose the email. But not a big deal. Now working in previous retail I have used watch tools before and I will say, all of the pieces are pretty good compared to those. The only few issues I have with the kit (minor) would be 2 of the tools and they happen to be some of the most important. 1st- the screw back wrench- not the size of tool I would have liked to see. Being that I'm a male and the backs on my watches have bigger grooves, I would have like to see the tips be bigger and a little more sturdy (see attached photo) 2nd- As some others have stated, in the blue link remover tool, the tip is bent right out of the package. This is a design flaw in the case. The strap that holds it down presses on the tip in a way that makes it crooked. Not a big deal as I can straighten this out with a pair of pliers. All in all its a good kit for the money and I'm thinking it should do the job. There is secondary equip in the kit for watch band adjustments like the holder and the hammer which is a good quality. The plastic side it definitely hard enough to get the pins back in but not hard enough to scratch them. Watch videos, and read the instruction manual and you will learn what to use the tools for before saying the tools are junk. Just because you don't know how they are supposed to be used doesn't make them junk. And be aware this is a GENERAL USE kit, some watches require a BRAND SPECIFIC kit to be opened it serviced, and some watches are designed to ONLY be serviced by the manufacturer.

Very neat kit - reasonable quality for the price!!
Great little kit - used it the day it arrived to open one watch & replace a hand that was lying loose in one of my pocket watches. Since, I have used the tools to remove the lens of another pocket watch where a digit had come off after I accidentally dropped it. Used tweezers to dig out the VI which at this time was lodged in the works - tricky! Then using toothpicks, glue, one of their screwdrivers &a whole lot of patience, I was able to re-attach the digits to what is one of my fav watches, Manchdas Bronze Crane pocket watch with the beautiful golden face - it made my day to be able to fix this piece & it certainly paid for this kit. While the tools are not really professional quality, they seem adequate to perform simple tasks like replace batteries, change bands & remove links as well as remove backs for more complicated work. They are laid out very nicely in the zippered case. Would definitely recommend it. And the booklet is a real bonus - includes links for more detailed work, etc. P.S. I even got some fix/repair watches off eBay to use these tools on - in less than an hour I had an old Westclox up &ticking!

Excellent Compact Watch Tool Kit - Probably My Favorite So Far - Great Illustrated Guide
I've had this kit for a few weeks now, and have used it to service most of my watches. This is a pretty comprehensive kit for most jobs, and the tools included are all good-to-excellent quality. At first I thought the spring bar tool was too small, but I found its small size makes it easier and more precise to work with. The case wrench is good quality, solidly build, and has fine adjustment for safe opening of screw-on watch backs. With the assorted interchangeable teeth, I was able to get all of our watches open - including a Fossil that has been very difficult in the past. I'm liking this wrench more than the others in my collection. The watch band link-pin removal tool works very well. I initially had reservations about it being resin, instead of metal, but it managed to remove some stubborn link-pins without any problem. I felt more comfortable using this than the pin-punches and hammer (though the included pin-punches and hammer are very good quality). The case-prying tool, assorted screwdrivers, the tweezers, and the pliers are all good quality for the price - not special, but they do the job just fine. About the only component that I am replacing is the watch band holder. The included one is good for the price, but I have a heavier one that I personally like a little more. Still, I think this is the best assortment of tools of any kit I've compared. My second-favorite part of this kit is the case that is designed to hold everything neatly. I own one or more of each of these tools, that I've bought individually, but they're hard to travel with because they don't fit together in a compact case like this kit does. I'll still keep most of my other tools, but I think I'll use this kit a lot more often because I don't have to pull out a large tool box every time I want to do a quick job. Out of everything in this kit, I think the best part is the illustrated manual. I have lots of guides on how to use various watch tools, but this manual was specifically made for this kit - all of the photos and illustrations specifically feature the tools included in the kit. This helps eliminate some vagueness when using a generic guide, and I also like that it's all consolidated into a single small booklet (as opposed to my folder of various printouts). The North American English guide is well written, with proper grammar and punctuation (something you learn to not take for granted with many other imported tools). The guide is very concise, and covers most common watch maintenance, repairs, and modifications. I've learned most of these techniques via trial-and-error, or downloading guides online, over the years... I think this guide does an excellent job of compiling most of this wisdom in a very handy and easy-to-follow illustrated booklet. I genuinely wish I had gotten this kit and guide years ago. This would have made my entry into watches a lot easier. The tools are all quality - many exceeding my expectations, given the value-price. The kit itself holds together nicely, making it very convenient. The illustrated guide is excellent, and is probably worth the price alone. If you're just starting, I would highly recommend this kit as your first tool set. Even for a seasoned horology vet; this is a quality buy for the money as a secondary "convenience kit" that you can easily stash in a drawer, or as a compact kit for travel.

Slightly priced too high compared to other kits since you need extra tools to complete your tool kit
I know a little something about changing watch batteries as I worked at a retail store that used to change them out and I was trained how to do it. I bought this kit because I have a lot of watches and I have a bad habit of buying a new one instead of changing the batteries. I had 14 watches to work on, 2 of them have this notches all the way around, other 12 have to be pried up. *I DO NOT recommend a kit like this unless you have at least as many as me or more, you also need a tool for closing the pressure back watches, and that is another $15-20. If you really want your own kit I would buy a cheaper one since you'll need some additional tools not in this kit. Between those tools, and the batteries (which you can find heavily discounted on a battery website), and time, if you don't have at least a dozen watches, it won't be worth it in the long run. Plenty of places will change a battery for about $5-6. The pry tool was basically useless except for on 2 of the 12 that had to be opened up this way. In the booklet, they do mention that a lot of manufacturers make the little notch so close to the watch that you may need to use something other than the tool, such as a knife blade. Because of this, it can be a little tricky to open the watches properly and safely. *This kit needs a watch case holder, it is the only safe way to hold the watch and use a tool other than the pry one to get them off, it doesn't have this, so you're looking at another $12 or so for that to get a metal one. The wrench is decent quality and comes with multiple inserts depending on the shape of the notches on that particular watch that screw off. There are two adjustments needing to be made, can be a little tricky to get them lined up for each of the watches since they were slightly different, but once lined up the tool does what it needs to do. The various screwdrivers that came with the kit are good quality, but small handled, so they may be hard for people with bigger hands to do, but it all worked out for me. The tweezers came in handy for getting the batteries out, but I do wish they were a slightly stronger quality as they seem like they can bend very easily. Overall this is a good kit, but I would say it is mainly meant for people who have a lot of watches. If most of your watch backs need to be pried up, rather than screwed off, and you don't need to deal with a lot of linked bands, you may be able to get just a case wrench and something for removing pins, rather than the whole kit. Most of my watch batteries could be changed out with a knife and a pair of thin, strong teasers without buying this, but since I DO have a lot of watches, it made sense for me to get one. HOWEVER, I would not buy this kit again, there are other one with the same tools, look to be the same quality, and they're $5-10 cheaper. Overall, once I buy my additional tools I'll need (closing tool for pressure back, a lupe, and a case holder), I'll have spent about $60 on my complete tool kit. Do the math and figure out if you really need to spend $50-60 on watch tools for the amount of watches you have.

All you need for basic watch repair and maintenance!
This would be my FIRST attempt to replace the battery and strap on my G-Shock GA 110 and decided to get the EZ tool kit. I found all the tools I need and didnโt really get any quality concerns on mine. All the tools were sturdy and well made enough for me. I also like that it came with a guide. Lastly, I appreciate that the seller reached out as soon as I received the product to get my feedback and on how I can reach them for any questions or concerns. No issues at all on my end and I am very happy to know that I can easily replace my watchโs battery or strap for years to come. Worth the price in my opinion. Extremely satisfied!

Great for the everyday watch user/hobbyist!
Got this as I was fed up with paying $20-$30 just to have a couple bracelet links removed by the watch guy down the street. So now instead of having to bring it to someone and waiting an hour, I was able to replace a broken metal bracelet at home in about 20 minutes. Sweet. Later that day I opened up the back of an beat-up old cheapo mechanical to see/fool around with the inner workings, and also replaced a battery in a new quartz one. I'm not a watch repairman by any means, but this kit is definitely worth the investment for the hobbyist or - like me - someone sick of the $$$ markup for something simple that can be done at home. Two additional things: 1. I don't know how I ever lived without a watch bracelet holder/brace (like the one included in this kit). It prevents a LOT of frustration. 2. Don't manhandle the smaller, fragile-looking pieces in this kit, - seems obvious, but I bent one end of the spring bar tool a smidge (it bent back) while trying to get a rather sticky spring bar off. My own fault!
