Spigen Tough Armor [Extreme Protection Tech] Designed for Google Pixel 3 XL Case (2018) - Black

This is rather thick but it's a damn good case. I used to have the spigen rugged armor and I really liked it. However, the new rugged armor has gaps around the buttons and I didn't want dust or debris getting in behind the case onto the notoriously sensitive glass. The tough armor provides a snug seal.I think I like the rugged armor more purely because of the thinness, but in terms of features and protection this tough armor is amazing. Spigen doesn't pretend this is a thin case but it's not exactly fat either. I'd call this the happy medium between thin cases and really tough cases.The stand on the back "feels" flimsy but it's very secure in its housing and it works well when deployed. I'm not worried about it breaking.The power and volume buttons are indeed very stiff but plenty tactile. They deliver a good click but require a lot more pressure to press. Otherwise, I like the texture of the buttons and I can easily find them without looking. They are flush with the side of the case but distinct enough that I can very easily feel for them and distinguish them purely by feel in a half second.The thinnest part of most phone cases is right around the USB port. I'm happy to report that there is very little flex at that point, which tells me that this is a really solidly built case.On the all black case there are fingerprints but you can't see them and they wipe off very easily. I suspect they might be more visible with brighter colors.This fits comfortably in a man's pocket and doesn't cause any bulge on things like jeans. Thinner dress pants may betray the girth of this case however.This is a high value case. Lots of protection for relatively low cost.

I am somewhat of a cast fanatic and, after reading likely a hundred reviews, ordered multiple cases to test on my phone. The Spigen Tough Armor is hands down my favorite. It has a slightly rubbery texture which seems to soften and become even more comfortable to hold with a little wear on it. It fits my 3XL perfectly yet is not too hard to take off when needed. I thought the ridges on the edges might be uncomfortable to hold however it actually adds towards increasing a solid grip and I don't find it to be a deterrent at all.The kickstand which folks are complaining about works just fine. It has to be plastic so the Pixel can be used on the Pixel charge stand. If it were a heavier duty metal one, the magnetic charge would be interfered with. It has never come off on me but if it did, it's designed to be a break-away style that you can easily snap right back on. I think it's a brilliant concept and there are times the kickstand comes in very handy.I have already dropped my $900 phone a few times with no damage, and the case is quite rugged. Once it fell face down (before I had even put a screen protector on it) and I'm so glad the lip around the edge was deep enough to save the screen. The buttons have a great feel and work just fine. It took me a few days to get used to them until I recognized that the main button had serrations on it and could easily be found without looking and then right below it were the volume buttons. They don't protrude much so the serrations on the power button make up for that.I can't say enough great things about this case for the Pixel 3 or 3XL and highly recommend it.

Ordered several other cases as I needed one ASAP. This one got to me first.Pros:- Excellent OEM style fit. Very snug.- Installed easy (didn't have to force the phone in)- Wireless charging still works- Power and volume buttons work well and have a nice "click feel" to them- Case has a slim, but durable feeling. The slight added thickness actually makes it perfect for me. Phone itself seemed a little too thin, so adding this case makes me more confident it won't slip out of my hands. Even the finger print scanner feels easier to use now.- Squeeze for Google Assistant works fineCons:- Kickstand seems a tad flimsy. Think it should be ok as long as I'm gentle with it.- Read someone commented screen protector does not work well with this case. I receive my screen protectors on 01NOV, will update this if not an issue.Overall:I bought this due to lack of better options available in retail. Only readily available options were the otter box, some generic options similar to this, and Google's fabric case. I believe the cheapest comparable one I could find were the generic ones starting @ $39.99. At half the price, this case far exceeds my expectations. Excellent investment for my $950 pixel 3 XL.*UPDATE 25APR2019: Kickstand and case still in great condition. Very sturdy case, no issues with screen protector. Will buy Spigen again for my best phone.

Briefly, I think this is a great case for anyone who takes a good care of their phone anyway and wants some additional protection for those small, everyday mishaps (knocking your phone off the table, etc). It looks very nice and it does its job well. However, if you are looking for something that will withstand a bit more "aggressive" handling (i.e. dog and/or kid accidentally stepping on it, accidentally dropping it down a rocky hillside during hiking, etc) you might want to consider some other cases.Pros: 1) fits snugly around the phone which helps keep out bigger particles of general dirt and debris 2) is very durable, with just the right amount of flexible 3) works with wireless chargersCons: 1) the design and thickness of the case make it a little bit hard to access the fingerprint reader, especially if you have larger/wider fingers 2) the kickstand is little flimsy and does not make the phone particularly stable 3) the volume buttons are kind of hard to feel (i.e. change the volume while not looking) 4) the sleek material of the back panel (pink) is hard to get a good grip on, which makes handling a larger phone such as Pixel 3XL a little bit more difficult...additionally it scratches pretty easily.Overall, a good case, just not overly heavy-duty.

So far, great case.

Custodia perfetta per il mio Pixel 3xl, robusta e comoda. Forse appesantisce un po il tutto ma ne vale la pena, protegge tutti il cellulare, anche lo schermo, grazie ai bordi rialzati. Top finale è l'aletta a scomparsa per vedere comodamente video o leggere lasciando il cellulare appoggiato su un piano.

It is an absolute beast, yet it is not too thick. It feels great in the hand and the foldable stand is great. It never failed to protect my phone, very happy with it. Although with all the abuse it received the paint started to scrape away slowly, but after like 2 years. Great case good value for money.

Absolutely recommend it .. it's a damn good case. Eye candy and tough as nails. If u have kids that are always on ur phone or if u have a case of butter fingers ..this is the case u should. Durable and tough and feels good to hold. Most importantly..protects the phone perfectly I bought one for Pixel 2Xl And 3 XL ..worth every penny
