This is a great resource for new Christians and believers who need to sharpen themselves in a few key areas! 13 lessons in all with the first five devoted to important assurances of the faith: salvation, forgiveness, answered prayer, guidance, and victory. The last eight center on Christian living with topics like: Putting Christ First, Good Works, Giving, Church and more. I cannot recommend this resource enough! It is easy to use and gets new believers familiar with the Bible through its easy topical study approach, memorizing Scripture, and emphasis on personal, practical application. All of the memory verses are also printed on perforated cards in the back that the user can tear out, put in a purse or wallet, and then go over them throughout the day. The Navigators know how to make study materials and this is one of the best out there. It's been around a long time having gone through reprint because it is so well put together. It is my first go-to as a minister for 23 years in discipling new Christians and helping other believers who are weak in the areas of personal study, memorization, and basic Bible knowledge. It is very easy to use, fuels good discussion in a group study atmosphere, and stokes the fire of spiritual hunger and passion. A solid, classic resource!

This book is an excellent resource for new believers in Christ as well as seasoned believers who desire to be reminded of foundational truths that are necessary for every believer to know, understand and believe as they desire to grow in their walk with God. It encourages Scripture memory with each lesson, as well as encourages the reader to dive into the Bible by providing Scripture references along with questions that require the reader to apply the Scriptures read to answer questions that identify key truths (related to the chapter’s topic) within them. I would definitely recommend this as a book that could be used for personal Bible study, as well as used in group Bible study (or in the discipleship of others).

If you are looking for a good entry level discipleship tool either for individual follow-up or in a small group setting, this is one of the best. We are using it in our church for a mixed group and it certainly works well. One caveat -- the reason I did not give it 5 stars -- watch the context of the verses used -- Navpress is usually very careful in not using a verse out of context -- in this case we were able to use it as a teaching tool (only one verse in lessons of assurance under assurance of God's will) Psalm 32:8 in context is David telling the listeners that he would guide them as a result of what he had learned from his sin. It is not a direct promise of God's guidance. Now, that may seem small, but if we are using that for discipleship, it is crucial that we are totally accurate in handling God's word (2 Timothy 2:15). In spite of that one instance, this is an excellent tool.

This is the first study book i did after being saved. It gives a great foundation for all new Christians.

a well presented course

I am not happy with the ebook order. I cannot read the words at all the letters are super blurry... It looks like someone scanned the book with a bad scanner.
