Velda 127594 Plant Basket for Pond Plants, 10 x 80 cm, Plant Sock

Reading the negative reviews actually sold me on this =P It seems like lowering a fully loaded plant sock into a pond can cause problems with the poppers bursting open. But since I was building a pond from scratch, wanted a flexible soil container, and knew I'd be burying them in gravel afterwards, this was perfect. I only used one popper on each and let the stones do the rest of the work for me. Images attached to show my process and how well these work. Would definitely buy again.

Arrived quickly. not as wide as I was thinking it would be but that's me not the information given. I prefer the look of this in the pond over the appearance of a pond basket. I left mine mostly open at the top just a few bits of small stones and the plants showing. I am considering buying another one. Good for shallow or uneven margins,

This item was a little longer than I needed so I shortened it to fit my pond shelf. I have planted the plants into the sock and it now fits perfectly and the plants are growing well.I would recommend.

So I read all the negatives on this product and understood what I would probably get for my money...I wasn't disappointed or surprised.It was everything that people have said.Read the reviews!!.But what I will say is it's a neat sock that holds the medium for plants well made from tough fabric these would be ok if you had a very shallow shelf to place them on.I don't so bought them as a project that I'm still working on I will update if it works so for me it's currently not working but in the right conditions it would work well

For a pre mould pond these „socks“ are perfect. The marginal plants very often come in baskets that don‘t fit the pond mould perfectly and are therefore either a bit wobbly or stick out visually too much. These socks just mould themselves into place and disappear visually. Easy to use and perfect solution.

I needed to plant towards the edge of my small pond which is too shallow. This allowed me to snake in several plants which I placed like a reef, filling it with a mix of sand, aquatic gravel & a little soil. The plants seem to be thriving and the pond looks less barren.

Will do just what I wanted

Good item, does the job nicely. Fits nicely in my pond on the sides. It's a small pond and didn't want to use pots at the bottom and taking more space. These did the trick.
