For paint stripping, the maximum speed and the maximum air flow is generally required - these settings are also needed for other jobs such as soldering plumbing joints and freeing rusty nuts. There are other uses of the heat gun where having lower air flows and lower temperatures can be useful. Multiple function for the heat gun: Drying paint or varnish: 30 to 130 °C , care has to be taken as dust particles may be blown onto the paint/varnish Drying out damp wood (before filling or painting) :around 100 to 200°C Softening adhesive (such as when applying worktop edge trim or lifting floor tiles) : 300 to 400°C Bending plastic pipes :200 to 300°C Heat-shrinking plastic film :200 to 300°C Welding some plastics :330 to 400°C A heat gun should always be used with care around copper plumbing where solder connectors have been used as the heat can melt the solder and weaken the joints Specification: Voltage: 240 V Power: 2000 W Temperature and flow range: I 50 ℃ 250 L / min II 50-450 ℃ 250 L / min III 90-600 ℃ 500 L / min Product dimension: 26 * 21 * 8.5cm Cable length: 1.8 m Note : 1. Never obstruct or cover the air inlet grills. If the air flow is reduced the heat gun will overheat and possible catch fire 2.Do not look down the nozzle while the gun is turned on 3.Do not insert anything down the nozzle with the gun 4.Always switch the tool off before putting it down on any surface

Amazing Piece Of Kit!!
I've always did my own DIY after learning bits from my late husband, and have different tools for this and that, but boy this is some bit of kit! I decided to decorate my living room but the skirting had been on for donkeys years and I couldn't afford new bits. I had tried the liquid paint stripper before which was rubbish so when I saw this on a lightening deal I decided to try it. It is absolutely brilliant!!! I was amazed at how powerful it was, I put it to number 9 on heat flow 3 with the tool attachment which comes with it and away I went. You could see the paint bubbling and blistering, moving it from side to side and up and down for about 15 seconds. I did a little bit at a time and it took all the years of paint off right down to the bare wood! I was absolutely delighted!! Wish I had got 1 years ago! It really is just like a hairdryer, keep it moving from side to side and don't focus on 1 bit for too long or you'll smell the wood burning. It sits on it's back while you scrape off the paint so no chance of it falling over. I would make sure you have a good sharp scraper as you get the job done faster. Make sure your pets are well out the way, if their very inquisitive they'll take the skin right off their nose if uv got it resting on it's back while you scrape! When finished I turned it down from 9 to 1 on heat flow 3 and left it sitting on its back, this cools the unit down quicker so you can put it away. The cord is about 6 and a half feet but I used an extension cable so I could move along without worrying I would stretch it, you do honestly get carried away with it! Would definitely recommend!

Temperature Specs Are Hot Air
Nice and easy to use, but I think the temperature specification should read 50 - 600 Fahrenheit and not centigrade. With that said, I doubt the blown output air temperature reaches half that (maybe 150 C). I bought it for removing Hammerite paint from metal objects (motorcycle parts, garden gates and a few other things), but it really struggles to do anything other than just soften the paint enough to wire brush). Only suitable for heating plastics and 'soft' household type paints.

Excellent bit of kit
Purchased to strip paint from large stair case with numerous spindles. Excellent temperature control to avoid burning wood surface. Went on longer than me, I needed tea breaks, the gun had more stamina than me. Recommended

Durable, with a good heat range.
Firstly, I'm impressed with the fact that it withstood being tossed over a 5ft garden gate by the Amazon delivery driver (where it then stood in the rain for 6 hrs!). It is comfortable to use, has a good heat range and a decent length cable. Would buy another if I needed one. Recommended!

Good to use.
Used it to strip paint off an old pine cupboard. It did the job brilliantly. Blistered up several coats of paint so they scraped off easily. 100% satisfied.

Great heat gun for the money!
Great heat gun for the money. Could have done with it being a bit more powerful but can’t complain for what I paid for it.I only use it to help repair leather scuffs so it’s sufficient. Nice addition to my toolbox.

Best value heat gun
Great product. I used this to help me to bend acrylic tubes for my first waterloop build on my pc and it worked flawlessly. Didn't even waste a tube. The heat is evenly spread. Highly recommend
