No long lasting
I actually loved this kettle, but why on earth it suddenly stopped working, is beyond me.Very disappointed that I have to go to the expense of replacing it. Obviously not built to last. I remember having the one before this for 9 years.

Beautiful kettle
I absolutely love this kettle. I was looking for something that would be easy to clean and stop limescale getting into drinks and came across this, as my usual taste in aesthetics is usually old fashioned, this is modern but it's just really pretty! I absolutely love the design! It stops limescale getting into drinks and easy to clean being a jug like kettle plus I like being able to see the water from the outside. It's actually the perfect kettle and lights up the kitchen beautifully. Well done!

Completely off the boil
A bit disappointed with this. Bought this to replace a ‘Next‘ own brand kettle that was a few years old and died on us.The first time I used it, I got a burn from steam coming out of a small gap at the back of the lid. No big deal, I just changed the way I hold the handle when I pour. The lid does seem a bit clunky though. It just doesn’t close very smoothly at all and I fully expect this be the cause of issues down the line.I think the description is a little misleading too. I read it as though the colour changes from blue to red as the water boils. It doesn’t. The blue light remains on constantly until you switch the kettle on to boil. Then it just turns straight to red. Bit disappointed with that. All in all, I’m disappointed with the build quality and fully expect to be needing another new kettle far too soon.Update: I’ve knocked more stars off this to give a 1 star. The kettle died today. When I switch it on, the colour still changes, but nothing else happens I.e it doesn’t even attempt to boil. Quite an important detail in a kettle! I know we live in a throw away world, but for a kettle to last less than a year is ridiculous. On the plus side, the lid still works.

It's a good kettle for the price but there is one down point
Nice , good value for money kettle, got it for less than £25. Looks stylish too. My only down point is this kettle water level markings on the glass. I descale it once already which something you need to do once every month but when I try to damp wipe the glass I noticed black colour markings on the outside glass ( which indicate water level ) faded and if I would have rubbed a little stronger it would have completely gone . So what I did I took a marker pen and did it myself just to know next time what is water level when I want to fill a kettle. We used to have glass kettles in the past but never happened this issue . So I would say on this point Salter brand did poorly .

Best kettle I've owned
The media could not be loaded. Don't know how easy it is to clean not had it long enough to get it dirty, but great value

Good in principle
This kettle is a bad pourer. It sometimes splashes unless you're super careful with it, not that you wouldn't be with a hand full of boiling water, but the way the outside is curved, it prevents water pouring properly so it isn't even off to a good start before it even meets the spout. And, although it sits shimmering in a blue LED cascade of lights around the bottom, these turn red WHILE it's boiling, then back to blue when it's finished (ie, doesn't stay red or another colour WHILE it's hot, and the lights go off altogether when you lift it off the base! So if you were thinking of getting this to light your teamaking by, think again! 😂 Counter-intuitive all round. The lights are so bright, which is nice, yet annoying when they've dipped your nightvision, so that when you lift it to pour, the ensuing darkness is twice as bad because of the very thing you're trying to use! 🤦🏻♂️

its a kettle
i was a little disappointed to find out that the led's stay lit all the time and simply change colour when the kettle is switched on. Not a big issue, just not what i expected. Nice looking design and very easy to pour (important for some users and you know who you are). best buy in the price range imo.
