Great, no-frills thermostat.
Simple thermostat that does what it is supposed to do. First, this is a 4-wire thermostat - that means it doesn't draw power from your furnace and relies on batteries. Second, it has a lot of flexibility in how you program it - you can have a unique program for every day of the week, you can also have a unique program for M-F and then something different for S-S. It can be set to switch automatically between heating and cooling (where I live that is such a narrow margin we don't bother with that feature). The main display shows humidity, which is nice. Speaking of, the main display only lights up when you touch it.In terms of installation - total breeze. It's literally 4 wires and the instructions are super clear. It has a mounting plate with terminals for the wires making it even easier to install (and remove when you need to replace batteries). It has lots of set-up options to match different heating/cooling configurations - the defaults work for a standard gas furnace and single-stage AC. But if you have electric heat, heat pump, multi-stage, etc. it can easily be configured for that.In terms of accuracy - I find it to be within half a degree of my instant read thermometers - so no problems there at all.Overall, a great well-priced thermostat.

A Smart and Simple Upgrade
I've been using this thermostat for a few weeks, and it's a huge improvement over my old, clunky one. The touchscreen is incredibly intuitive, making it a breeze to set a 7-day schedule that fits my family's routine. I love how easy it is to override the schedule for a specific day if we're home unexpectedly. The large, clear display is also a big plus. It's not a smart Wi-Fi thermostat, which is exactly what I wanted—just a reliable, easy-to-program device that saves energy and keeps my home comfortable. Installation was straightforward, and it's been working perfectly.

Almost perfect, but room for improvements in the programming user interface
This thermostat is well worth the money and works as intended, the only reason i have to give it 4 instead of 5 starts, is because you literally have to program every segment of every day, even if you want all of the to be the same. It is a little time consuming and can be frustrating, but once programed, it does it's job very well!!

Programmable Thermostat with No Network Required
This is a nice programmable thermostat. It does not have, nor does it need Internet access. It has up to 7-day, 4 periods (wake, leave, return, sleep) that can be separately configured for heating and cooling temperature. The system I am using it on is a Trane split system with high efficiency forced-air gas heating and central air conditioning. It was a more than adequate replacement for the thermostat I was using.Full (and clear) instructions are provided for doing the setup. 5 different options of the most commonly used heating systems can be configured.Wiring was easy to follow, based on moving the color-coded wires from old thermostat to the equivalent on the new one. The color-coding of HVAC systems are (mostly) standard.

Great battery powered thermostat
Great Thermostat! I had a 2006 Honeywell Thermostat that wasn't working correctly - it would not call for cooling for a complete cycle, meaning the room was getting too warm. Betting that the old thermostat was malfunctioning, I installed this one and everything appears to be working as expected again. Great value, easy install, battery (3AA, not included) power, easy to setup. I recommend this one.

Beware Terms of Warranty
Purchased this item on Amazon on May 18th 2019 and had it professionally installed about a month later by our HVAC contractor. Unit functioned well until a few days ago when the display began flashing screens rapidly and randomly. We had our HVAC technician come in. He checked the power, found it correct, and replaced the unit with the original thermostat he had removed to install this programmable unit. The original thermostat immediately functioned properly and continues to do so.Just got off the phone with Honeywell, deeply dissatisfied with their requirements before they will honor their one year warranty. The customer service person said they could not give me an RMA to return the unit for warranty replacement unless we provided a picture of us with a volt meter showing the voltage reading or a sworn statement from a technician documenting power testing. As we are not HVAC or electrical professionals, it is entirely inappropriate to force on us the choice to pull the original thermostat professionally re-installed to replace this defective unit, purchase a power meter, and test the power OR pay a technician more than the cost of the unt to return, do so, and make a written statement.Buyer beware. A warranty is useless if it costs you more to exercise it than the value of the warranteed item. All we asked was an RMA to return a defective unit which Honeywell is in a position to test and replace. What we got was an obvious attempt to make replacing a defective unit so onerous and expensive a task that no sensible person would do so. We will not in the future purchase any product of Honeywell.
