I have designed many products, and at NASA we always looked for the most innovative ways to create devices that solve problems for our pilots (I did the study that led to redesign of the F16 hand controller which was terrible in the 80's). Well, listen up EDC guys and those who spend a fortune on these expensive "tactical pens" with lights that are so poorly designed. One has a light on the cap so it takes two hands. The other has a light that....I still don't get how it works, as it is so complex AND EXPENSIVE. This product is OPTIMAL. The design, putting the light at the bottom with the ergonomics to fit the hand so well, and a little "grippy" coating on the pen is amazing. Also the ergonomics of the light? How could it be more simple. One click light off, second click light on. BUT IT PUTS THE LIGHT RIGHT WHERE YOU NEED IT. I do certain types of work at night outside where I need to write down information quickly. By putting the light at the bottom, it could be total darkness and my little notebook is illuminated with light dispersed so you see the page as your writing. The company: OK, this blows my mind. I had a minor issue with two different products at the same time. This one, and a shredder. The shredder company did not respond for 2 months until I had to get Amazon higher up support involved to handle it which was not fun and took so much time. With the pen? Talk about underpromise-overdeliver? They were extremely responsive and said they would mail me a little part. What did I receive? 3 x more brand new pens when I simply needed a part for one AND a newer product that is called the Fashion Case Original, a pen that is very beautiful for office use (from my perspective). It has a slider switch to turn it on and produces a beautiful blue light. I highly recommend this pen for everyone. Even sitting watching TV in a darkly lit room, you receive a call and need to write down important information. I have a small note pad (like a field note...same quality but less expensive) with the Glovion pen attached. You click it twice, and do not have to turn the lights on to see what you are writing. Thanks for such a great job on this pen and the AMAZING support. It surpasses NASAGUY's high standards indeed. I will post a video of how cool it is later.

Amazing pen. I sometimes have a brilliant idea in the middle of the night. With this pen you don't need to turn on room lights. One click and you have an ordinary pen. Two addition clicks and the red led lights!. Very practical for taking notes when in a darken room or lecture hall. Pens can also be purchased with white, yellow or blue tips. Extremely effective. Comes with extra batteries. Batteries can be purchased anywhere.

I work as a Flight Medic and have used several styles of pens with lights on the end while flying. These are my favorite so far. They have different color options including a multicolor pack. I like these because in general the pen and ink work as I would expect, the body isn't too fat so it slides into pen slots on my flightsuit and has a rubber stylus on the clicker (if that's something you like to use). Clicking once exposes the pen alone, close and reopen and the light turns on and exposes the pen. I have used a few brands where the light is just too bright and is hard to look at as it reflects too much light off of my paperwork while in the plane or helicopter. The softness of the red and blue lights are my favorite. The white light would work fine for checking pupils whereas the red and blue lights won't. I highly recommend this pen to anyone wanting a reliable product at a fair price.

I bought these hoping I could put a Frixion erasable refill in so I could use it with my Rocketbook, but the cartridge is part of the switch system and it's a special shape and can't be swapped out. Going to keep the pens, but can't use them as I originally intended.

Love this little pen. The red light right at the tip I'm writing with is just what I was looking for. Great for using at night or in meeting rooms with insufficient light.

Only two pens out of three work. I liked the light and it writes smoothly.

A little pricey, but the unique feature makes it well worth the price. There's no extra bulk to it, just feels like a regular pen in your hand. Perfect when you don't want to wake up your spouse but yet you want to jot down what popped into your head as you woke up. Will also be giving these as a gift. Perfect gift for the person that has everything

These pens are exactly what I needed. They are bright enough to write by but dim enough to keep the room dark for my spouse. Unlike twist-on pens that tend to loosen over time, these have a sturdy click mechanism. I find the blue light much softer on the eyes than the white version. Great for bedside use or traveling on a plane

Bought the 3 colour set to try them out. Gifted them to 3 of my staff. One red, white, blue. Colour was good without being blinding. I am also have astronomy as a hobby and I will be buying a red one for writing my notes. For astronomy you need night vision to see the stars and galaxies but also want to keep a log book so you need to see to write... the red light retains your night vision so you can take notes without having to re-adjust your night vision because of the red light. they also included an extra set of batteries and refills. I figured the pens would have a limited life because the batteries would be more expensive to replace vs buying a new pen. Thank-you for the great gift idea... and new item for my hobby... will share with the Astronomy Society as well!

All three pen lights appeared to work when first turned on. However on first use, the white light became dim, flashed briefly, then stopped working. Eventually the stylus end fell off. Reattach the stylus and now the light appears to be fine. So far the blue and red work. The stylus is okay. UPDATE: Again, the white light dimmed and flickered constantly, then stopped working altogether. Bought these pens for work and was disappointed that in brand new condition I can't trust they'll function.

I ordered these pens for my work as I do a lot of writing in the dark as a Corrections Officer. The build quality is decent and once everyone sees me use it they always ask where I got it and now a bunch of other Officers now use this pen once they see me use it. I would and I do recommend the pen to anyone who writes in the dark. They do have a red light which is good to use in a tactical setting as it does not hinder your line of sight.
