Pokemon Platinum Official Strategy Guide Paperback – January 1, 2009

Wow! This thing is thick!I have some of the older game guides and the are slender in comparison. Everything you need to know and then some actually! Since I don't have the earlier Pokemon games the National Dex does me no good but who cares, the art is cute!The print quality is good and with care the guide will last too. Which is nice considering the price tag. But it got me out of a few tight spots and I saw a lot of things I missed going through the game on my own so I'll use it when I replay for sure!I also found the guide a little more useful than the online walk throughs and its nice to have all the info at your fingertips.

Some of the directions were a bit vague. Otherwise it was great. It was even better that I expected because that it had a full Pokedex in it. Great for getting through the game. Even though I get stuck at Silen (swallowed version), it's nice to know how many Pokemon he has and what they are.

When I bought the guide for Pokemon Platinum I was a bit surprised. The book is, well, HUGE! As I leafed through it however I began to realize why and boy was it worth my money. Not only do you get an extremely detailed walkthrough of the game (pictures included) you get both the Sinnoh Pokedex and the National Pokedex. After that there are dex's for the berries, balls, items, TM's, etc. The book will also teach you how to work Rotom with the Secret Key, how to evolve certain Pokemon with detailed requirements, and much much more. If you have a question regarding Pokemon Platinum, Diamond or Pearl than look no further than this book because it has ALL the answers.
