CMON Limited Rivet Wars Eastern Front Game, Multi Color

First of all the component quality of this game is phenomenal. The minis are sturdy and nicely detailed, cardboard for the battle field is nice and thick and cards are good.Game play is medium-light weight. It's not that very complex compared to other games of this genre, just create units, send them off into the meat grinder and repeat. But for a game about battle and controlling territories I prefer to have more strategic depth. For me and my gaming group we found it to be decent but not fantastic, your mileage may vary. Good light hearted fun, but lacking strategic of other area control games. Also, the price for the base game is quite steep.

I saw this game at my local game shop and thought it looked interesting. When I bought the game and opened it I was immediately impressed. The quality of the miniatures excellent. I haven't painted miniatures in over 10 years but when I saw these it made me want to go out and get some paint and get started. But the mini's aren't even the best thing. The game play is so fun. It doesn't take long to learn or too long to play and there is a ton of customizability. We quickly realized we were going to want to do bigger battles so we bought a second box. There is also a great community online where you can download custom game scenarios, upload your own, check out other people's painted minis, interact with the creator of the game, and more. There are a ton of new expansions packs coming out and they look so great. Airplanes and Tanks and so many other things that look like they're going to add so much more depth to the game. I can't wait until they are available. I was bummed when I found out it was a Kickstarter and I had missed out on all the exclusives but I plan on finding a way to get them. If you like painting miniatures you should get this game. If you just like really fun games you should get this game. You should just get this game.

My son and I love the presentation, look very entertaining. It is our 2nd war game core set. I bought this game due to the detailed minis and shorter game time. However, upon receipt of the item, one of the minis came in damaged or with missing arms. I will improve the rating if the Seller will send me replacement for damaged item.

Like another reviewer said this game is really, really fun and surprisingly easy to learn. The only "gotcha" is you might as well pony up another $100-200 to get the expansions or the core game may feel a little hollow. I ended up getting the kickstarter box off of ebay from someone to accompany it for like $70 and that was perfect.

This is an awesome strategy game to play with friends. It kind of reminds me of advanced wars on GBA, very fast paced strategy game. I love axis and allies but it takes so long to play. This has a lot of good mechanics and its a blast to play.
