I purchased one of these and was so impressed, I am buying 6 more. I plan to download all of my familys pictures in the Picture Keeper so I can give each one of my siblings one, and put one in a safety deposit box at the bank. This is the most wonderful item I have ever purchased. I have pictures from my great-great- grandparents up to my very own great-great grands and my children safely stored in the Picture Keeper.My siblings, children, grand children, and great grand children are over the moon. They can't believe they have all of these photographs in this one lillte gadget. Very easy to navigate and works quickly!!! Love it! Love it! Thank all of you from the bottom of my heart!!!!

I ordered this as an easy way to back up my digital photos and haven't been disappointed. Plugged it in, followed the online prompts and it did it's job. Now, for those of you who aren't particularly tech savvy like me--realize that the estimated capacity is based on each picture being 1 mb. Unknowingly my camera was set to the highest resolution so each of my pictures takes up almost 3 mb so I could only get 1/3 of the photos I expected on Picture Keeper. The best part---when I e-mailed customer service they were incredibly prompt in getting back to me and walked me through everything about the photos on my computer and all about the device. The young man I spoke with couldn't have been nicer to work with and easy to understand & patient!--right in Atlanta, GA! I am going to order more and keep them in our safety deposit box. As it was explained to me this isn't an organizing device--it is a pure, easy backup device to be used in the event that my computer crashes, it gets destroyed, etc. Picture Keeper 4000 Photo Backup Device

I love that you don't have to download any files - this unit works straightaway. It finds all files of the kinds you specify and saves copies of them to the Picture Keeper in the same organization as on your hard drive. That is very handy. Also, the Picture Keeper has an excellent Slide Show feature that displays full screen! One caveat so far: The Instruction manual is well written and understandable, but it's wording doesn't always match that of the screen layout/wording. But with a bit of experimentation you can quickly learn how to do the things you want. I'm buying 2 more!

I have never backed up,photos before, and started to worry that someday my computer would crash and I’d lose everything. So I purchased a 16 go Picture Keeper after a bit of research. It worked just as stated. I was shocked at how many photos I have. The first Picture Keeper filled up after approximately 7200 photos. So I purchased a second one. Sure enough, it continued where I left off. What a perk! My only complaint (I’m not very tech savvy) is I didn’t check the settings to include videos. I have quite a few videos of grandchildren’s concerts, etc. After I checked my Picture Keeper after I was done, I discovered the videos has not been backed up. I’m started over and saw where I needed to check off videos. So the second Picture Keeper finished the photos, then went back and did the videos. I filled up a second Keeper. And bought a third. It finished the job. I probably,should have bought a larger capacity to start with, but just didn’t realize how much I have! Anyway, all photos and videos are now backed up. Very pleased with everything. Would definitely recommend to a friend.

I purchased this product hoping I could use it to: 1. find my pictures, 2. collect them on this flash drive, 3. pull them off this flash drive and archive them on my large storage drive, 4. clean the pictures from this flash drive, 5. resume the collecting of pictures where I left off, and 6. repeating this process until I had collected all the pictures from my computer. IT DOES NOT WORK THAT WAY. This product works well to find the pictures and archive them PERMANENTLY on THIS Flash Drive. I have so many pictures it would cost me a fortune to use this product (even the larger version) for all my pictures. I am going to try and return it,

Not knowing how much memory a photo uses I was worried that the 8G wouldn't be enough. I was happy to find that it held my 900+ photos with room to add more. Such peace of mind knowing that my photos are backed up. Great product - easy to use. Really, just plug it in and let it go. Yes, I do realize I could have backed up those files manually to a cheaper flash drive. But I'm willing to pay the few bucks extra to have the process made easier.

So, I ordered a 2 pack because I have a reasonable amount of pictures on my computer and extra hard drive. Loaded first flash drive and waited while it found all of my pictures and then began the backup. I was notified when the first drive was full and inserted the second drive. It did its thing and I was notified I still had a large number of photos to back up. So, I ordered another 2 pack @ ANOTHER $60. Could not get #3 to pick up where #2 left off so I deleted all the photos from #1 and #2 and started over. Same thing: #1 filled up and I inserted #2. #2 finished and said it had saved x# of photos and x# of duplicates were not saved. Now I have #1 that is full, #2 that is partially full, and no use for #3 and #4 (at ANOTHER $60!) I open a folder that I know I have a large amount of pictures in and I see maybe 4 pictures in this folder! Where are the rest of them?! Same thing for several folders. There is no sorting and arranging the photos so you can find them easily. I would have been better off to just get blank flash drives and cut and paste all of my photos. They may not be organized, but at least I would know I had them!

I had a computer at home that was not very stable (one too many viruses or poorly written software). I had a lot of photos on it, but the PC barely recognized its CD-ROM drive, threw errors when I tried to access Control Panel, etc. So I dreaded the idea of searching for all the photos on that PC and copying them to a jump drive. It would take awhile and the PC would likely hang, freeze, etc. Got WindowsXP up and running, plugged in the Picture Keeper sat back and that silly thing wandered through the computer and ultimately copied 3500+ photos to it. Took 20 minutes, I didn't have to do a thing except selct the options it presented. My pictures are saved to the Picture Keeper in the directories they came from. Couldn't be happier. Love it.

This is the second Picture Keeper I have purchased and will be a second backup for my pictures. It is easy to install and it automatically finds all of the pictures on my computer.

Bought so my wife could back up all her photos on laptop, tablet, phone. Really easy to use, true plug and play. Backs up existing images, then adds to backup when new images added to device. Great solution.
