Hatchwell Chalk Powder 450g pack of 1

I have a border terrier who needs regular striping or they end up looking very shaggy. I read about using chalk powder to aid stripping so I decided to give it a go. Wow, it made it so much easier! Brush in a little powder to the coat and your fingers can grip even small amounts so much easier making it a much quicker process and less painful on your fingertips. Taking smaller amounts seemed nicer for the dog as well, who seemed quite happy to lay there and let me gently pull out the long hair.

This Chalk is perfect. I use it for stripping our Border Terrier and whilst my technique may need a bit more work, this chalk has been an invaluable help.----I have poor thumbs and wasn't really relishing the stripping of our dog, but due to her nerves and lack of dog strippers in our area, I'd decided to give it a go myself. Having reviewed many options, for drying the oil and giving something to grip onto, this chalk seemed perfect. I was not wrong. It's excellent.----A little goes an awful long way. I suspect I only used 2-3 teaspoons for her entire strip. This tub will last me years. It really sped up the process and made it far easier to see where I'd covered. It has a well fitting lid that closes with a satisfying click, so I don't see a possibility for moisture to get into the tub.----This chalk, a rubber glove, an excellent table purchased from Amazon and a stripping knife for smaller hairs. That's all it required. If you're on the fence and wish to give it a go yourself, be sure to include this chalk on your list.

I honestly have no idea how I survived before I started using Hatchwells! I mix with water and apply as a thick paste rather than a dry powder for best results. Works every time.
