It fits big and small jars and easily rests on top, freeing up both hands to control whatever you are pouring. I read lots of reviews before buying this and I am very happy with this purchase.

I got this to can with. The one I had for years is plastic and I wanted metal. The opening is only about an inch. My plastic one fits the inside of a regular size canning jar. I thought this one would be at least that big, but no.It will work because most food going into the jars is usually no larger than an inch. But canning something like green beans will be impossible to get through that tiny opening.

the neck of the funnel is only about 1.75" wide which is only about half of the width of a wide-mouth mason jar. I wanted to funnel to help me get leftovers into a mason jar efficiently but chunks of melon or stew meat would need to go through the funnel single file. Not helpful.

This has been a life-changing product for me. I save all of my jars and reuse them, and this makes it so easy to put full meals in a jar instead of in a large square tupperware container. Saves space in my fridge. This should be in everyone's kitchen!
