Alpine HCE-C115 Rear View Camera

I purchase this item at a local Alpine dealer, turns out that it was a open box and the camera was damaged, I ordered this item from amazon, came in a sealed alpine box and had all parts. The install took some doing, I had to go to my local GM dealer to get a OEM camera holder. I wanted the OEM look, so i went the extra step.

I purchased the Alpine hce-c115 rear view camera recently. I was upset initially that the field of view was quite useless. It was like looking at a far off picture. I couldn't judge where anything was with any accuracy.Today I was fooling with the camera, which is mounted on my license plate frame. I found that it was pointed straight back. I learned that I could tilt it downward and that it would then show a bit of my back bumper. This now allows me to gauge better where the back of my vehicle is in relation to the objects behind me.The view even in daylight is still too dark for my liking. Also it doesn't have any lines or markings that would aid in judging your relationship to items in your view.

Excellent product. There was an adapter needed for my 2005 Alpine in-dash stereo to connect it with. However, once the adapter was found it works like a champ.
