Fashionary Womens A4 by Fashionary Team (2011-10-01) Hardcover

Following pursuing a fashion degree I used to work in the fashion industry and really wish this book had been around - it may have been in 1998 but I really don't remember seeing it. My friend is still working in the industry and mentioned it to me and seeing as I have taken fashion design and construction back up as a hobby in loving this book! It has all the garment Information at the beginning of the book with names for different garments and trimmings, wash information Etc. The rest of the book contains quick sketch templates which can be used at fashion shows or for a quick sketch after you have turtles left a shop - or just for use at home and I now use it every weekend for various projects. I love it and plan to get an A4 version going forward.Apparently this was delivered quickly as I ordered it to be delivered to my local post office - but as I didn't receive any notification, I waited about 3 weeks before I took it upon myself to go to the post office and check. It had been sitting tier for about 2 weeks and was told that it was close to being sent back! Amazon may need to check this area.

I bought this on the recommendation of a classmate and am really glad I did. It saves so much time (I don't have to keep drawing the figure for each design) and keeps all my drawings in one place. I like the size of the book as it fits easily into any of the bags I might carry that day and I especially like the rounded corners as they don't get dog-eared like straight edged ones would. It's easy to scan designs from the fashionary, which is necessary for producing work digitally.I gave it a 4 star rating rather than a 5 because I feel it's more expensive than it really needs to be. Ideally I'd like to have one fashionary for each project but the budget doesn't stretch to that and I've found other solutions to making these time savings. Hopefully, the fashionary will become priced at a level that means most of us can buy more of them.

Super useful for sketching my designs and the pages at the front with lots of different information is so useful! The only downside is that I use felt tip pens for vibrant colours and they do show through quite a bit on the opposite page. Even the gel pen which I use for notes does too.

Love these sketchbooks, I do wish the figures in the book where slightly bigger as they are the same size as the ones in the a6 books just with 3 of them rather than 2

Great little sketch book for fashion ideas. ilike how versatile this sketchbook is. It can really be used in a multitude of ways. I also enjoy all the reference parts in the book. Very helpful. The size is also nice. You can take it anywhere. I have taken it with me to the fabric shop on quite a few occasions. I will be buying more when I fill this one up.
