Amazon Basics Modern Robe Hook - Satin Nickel

The hook arrived very quickly and was easy to put up. Look very smart.

Far from 'basic' and although currently advertised for a bathroom, I think this smart, heavy-duty hanger would be suitable elsewhere in the home, too, e.g. a utility room or hallway.Exactly as currently shown in the stock images above, the ‘robe hook’ has a base diameter of around 5.5 cm and a width of around 9 cm. In position, it protrudes around 6 cm overall, so does need fair clearance if positioning where a door opens onto for example.Heavier in hand than expected and adding to the weight with 2 x chunky bath robes hanging, this was deemed not suitable for fitting on my modern, internal panelled door, as the mounting bracket would likely not be secured tightly enough.The plugs provided are for attaching to a solid wall so alternatives will be required to secure to a plasterboard cavity wall, IMO.ooOoo※ amazonBasics※ MODERN BATHROOM※ ROBE HOOK~ COLOUR : SATIN NICKEL FINISH‘Made in China’ooOooThe quality, metal-type robe-hook comes in a neat, segmented cardboard box with all fittings safely stowed in a separate bag, i.e. the fixing bracket + 2 x 3 cm long, cross-head screws + 2 x ‘rawl’-plugs.Also included is a clearly laid out, 8-step, multi-lingual instruction booklet (words & pictures) that includes a list of recommended tools (last images refer). The stapled booklet measures around 10.5 cm x 13.75 cm and includes online access warranty detail.Potential tip : I found it necessary to first loosen the little grub-screw on the bottom of the robe hanger before tightening it up to secure the hanger to the mounting bracket as shown in 'Step 7' of the instructions.[9 images attached]

If you want a back-of-the-door robe hook without paying too much then you could do a lot worse. Amazon basics just seem to be really difficult to beat in value for money. Ultimately, I don't love the look of this one but it's not offensive in any way; it went on easily and seems secure. Does the job intended.

Good quality and heavy duty. Easy to put up. Holds a heavy dressing gown and several quite heavy coats without either hook bending. Looks very expensive.

A basic robe hook. Not sure how long it's plating will last but seems to do the job at the moment and looks OK.
