Very easy to use and holds heat well
I have been wanting to get a portable shelter for quite sometime now. I looked at some of the cheaper off-brand shelters, but decided to just spend a little more to get this Eskimo Quickfish 2. At the end of this review, I will link a video that I did. It is a quick review/first impression type video. I show you how it pops up, and set up gear inside of it so you can actually get an idea of what it looks like. Many videos show how to set it up and take it down, but you don't get an idea of what the inside is like. The first time setting it up, I felt like the hubs were a little hard to pop out. Since then, they pop out fine, and I think they just need to be broken-in initially. On the 2nd attempt of setting it up, it took me just over 2 minutes to totally assemble it, and that includes removing it from the bag. (Not including ice anchors). It's super easy. Taking it down is just as easy, and after you've done it a couple times, you will notice it folds up a certain way.Putting it back into the bag is a little tricky, but it only takes a couple of minutes. There is a strap that goes around it after you fold it all up. It helps cinch it together and makes it easier to get into the bag. Push the material of the shelter inward as you pull the bag over it. It's not going to slide right in, but its not hard.It comes with 6 anchors with ropes in a nice little case. You can buy a drill bit for a cordless drill which is supposed to drive these into the ice easier. I have done it by hand and it works just fine. Sometimes its hard to start them, but once they bite in, its smooth. I highly recommend anchoring a corner of the shelter into the ice before setting it up. This will keep it from blowing away, and also from sliding around as you pop-out the hubs. They recommend setting up the shelter so the door-side is facing away from the wind. You will want to put at least 2 anchors on the back side, and maybe another one with a bungee strap (instead of the included ropes) connected to the back hub. I also put one on the corner just below the door. So when you zip/unzip the door it doesn't pull the shelter up.I feel like this is just enough room for 2 adults, or maybe an adult and 2 kids. 3 adults in here could be done with minimal gear, but if you plan on fishing 3 adults often, get a larger one. Although its not insulated, a Mr. Heater Propane Buddy keeps this very warm, and retains the heat very well even after you shut it off. I didn't need to run the heater nearly as much as I thought I would. There are 4 windows, each one can be removed, and each one has a shade to block out the light. There are also 2 vents that you can open. Condensation can happen in these, especially when using a heater, so these help some. The storage bag has straps, so it can be carried on your back like a backpack. I don't know what it weights, but its not a burden.Although I have only used it a few times, I am really enjoying the shelter, and it totally changes your ice fishing experience for the better if you have never used one. One more tip- after its popped up, with your one security anchor I mentioned, don't install the additional anchors just yet. Drill your ice holes, then slide the shelter out of the way to clean the slush out, and place the shelter back on, its much easier than trying to fling slush out the door after its already setup.I hope this review helps. If you want to see a video of it, and get an idea of it's size, copy and paste the link below, or just search "Maine Angler" on YouTube and you should find it. After a full season of use, I will update this review. Thanks!https://youtu.be/ypJFoVMBj4Y

Great small/light niche hub
I only got a few trips in with the QuickFish 2 this season. I usually fish from a one man flip-over, and I have an Eskimo 949i for groups (okay for 3 people fishing/ luxury for 2 people fishing).I wanted something light weight with a small packed footprint for dragging on foot when the snow gets really deep. To save weight and bulk, I went with the Eskimo QF2 non-insulated hub. The QF2 fits in a JetSled Jr. and only weighs about 20Lbs. The fabric seems to retain heat well, and it is small enough to be heated with a Little Buddy heater. With two guys fishing inside, you will probably only need a heater in sub-zero temps (body heat is enough in this small shack). There is plenty of space when solo. It is tight, but two can fish for an extend period without any problems. It can accommodate two large camp chairs side-by-side. I cannot imagine three fishing in this shelter, but it would fit three people while watching tip-ups (not fishing inside). The windows are positioned well for watching tip-ups, and I like that you can remove the windows. But, a 2nd door would make it more convenient for two anglers. It was a little stiff to set-up the first few times, but after that break-in period it is fast, simple, and easy. The fabric seems durable, high quality zipper, and very nice ice anchors. The interior mesh pocket comes in handy (wish there was a 2nd). The storage bag kind of sucks, but I only use it for long-term storage. If you are looking for a light weigh hub with a small footprint, I don’t think that you can do any better than the QF2 (especially for the price). We had it out in a very nasty rain storm with high winds, and I was very impressed with how the little shack held-up in that extreme weather.

As advertised
Door could be bigger and better. Tent is easy to set up and use. Nice overall product.

Easy set up/big enough for 2 people
Very easy to set up and take down and the carrying case with the backpack straps makes it easy to transport. It is a very cozy fit for 2 people but if you use small chairs and place the holes correctly it is definely big enough for 2 people to fish. Blocks the wind very nicely to keep you warmer on those cold windy days.

Good space, good heat retention
This shack is nice and warm. It retains heat almost too well. If you dont leave the door cracked open a bit, water will start to drip in through the windows from the condensation. The blackout works well and allows me to see into the ice hole. Quick setup and collapse. Highly recommend, especially considering I got it on sale for $105

Great price
Great for two people. Little tight for 3 but if you aren’t fishing it’s doable.

where’s my refund and why is it taking so long?
The Eskimo fish two is nice however I feel for two people, It’s a little small therefore I returned the product. This return/refund policy is definitely the worst one I’ve ever experience with Amazon or on Amazon and I would not buy from this seller again because of this reason. I returned the product in the end of March. They received it on April 2 and it’s been just sitting in limbo with my estimated time for my refund to be present in the bank is April 17. This is not acceptable as far as I’m concerned , just putting it out there.
