This muddy hunting tripod is actually the second one iv purchased ( awesome deer hunting stand) had much success with it as you can set it up in places where a suitable tree can not be found for a ladder stand ( a little heavy to move any type of distance by yourself) but overall great sturdy and comfortable stand to hunt from.. I give it 5 stars

I can’t believe I received it already used, had boot prints on the steps and seat, many bent parts, missing bolts and nuts, etc. that’s disappointing because it’s pricey. It obviously sat outside for a season as most of it had rust marks and the “muddy” branding had faded awayEnded up taking me about 3-4 hours to assemble, had to bring out the welder and drill press to make new brackets and connectors. What a joke but no chance I was getting it back into the box to return. It was clearly beat up from whoever returned it originally and they never thought to check if all the parts were there and in good working order? Made a permanent frame so this thing won’t budge. No chance this could be a “mobile” tripod, it’s very much something to leave in one spot.If you’re handy, you can make this work but be prepared to do A LOT of fabrications. It’s almost like they just give you the metal and you figure out how to make it work for you.

Yes buy a 100pk of metal washers to put the stand together, it takes two men to be able to spread seat open to put in brackets, can be assembled within 2 hours with 2 people no problem, use power tools or ratchets not wrenches, awesome stand, totally collapsible and portable once assembled, it went from box to long walk and set up in the woods in 3hrs, seat is cold get a heat cushion and enjoy the swivel, the gun rest is perfect and it is deadly! Thanks muddy, well done, will be buying another!

OK, First thing you need to know is that the description on Amazon says it is rated for 500 lbs, which was my main reason for buying this. I am 6'7" 345 lbs. I get it and get it assembled, it takes about an hour and a half to assemble (by myself). Tons of bolts, nuts and washers.... over 100 connections.As I go to climb this for the first time, I notice a warning sticker on back side of seat post " Rated for 300 lbs, do not exceed this weight limit.... life and limb.... Box is destroyed, now a nightmare return! Have to disassemble I guess.... VERY MADAll that said, this would be great for a traveling hunter that weighs 200lbs!

I’ve used this now for this hunting season for approximately seven days. And using it I have noticed that even when you stake down the legs of the tripod is still very shaky. The swivel for the seat is not very so you have a lot of wobble as you rotate around. Getting in and out of it is not very easy either. There is nowhere to put your feet as you climb the ladder and get to the seat.

First thing you need to do is drive to the hardware store and buy a box of 100 1/4 washers. All of the parts were in the box. But the box was not in good shape. But all the parts were in the package and it went together pretty easy. I bought this stand to be a mobile rifle stand. It’s about 75lbs. Think it’s going to work out well. Also, you will need some stakes to make it more stable. Better safe then sorry I’d say. The legs do fold up to move.

Great stand ... assembly was fairly quick and easy, and the instructions were correct. I like the height and weight, making the stand easy to move/relocate.
