Lortone QT66 Lapidary Rock Rotary Tumbler

If you decided to buy this unit, congratulations. This was my third tumbler that I purchased. I reviewed the specs, and other reviews before I decided to purchase it. While it is twice the size ( of the six pounder), I had some larger rocks to tumble.If you seen the other tumblers (in this size) the first thing you would notice it's simplicity and quality. I did notice it was "quieter" when running. This unit will last quite some time. One other word here, I did purchase two other drums; each drum is used for a specific grit.This separation, I have learned will prevent "due overs," caused by grit contamination. And if your asking... no problem running just one drum.

I bought this tumbler to clean my brass shell cases. It's less than half the price of the RCBS tumbler and far better built. It has two 6 inch drums so I can keep cases separated if I want. It does wet or dry media. Using dry walnut shells I haven't needed to turn any case group more than two hours to get them virgin spotless. I don't know how to say enough about this machine. It is simple, well built, quiet (I have it set up in the garage and with the door closed I can't hear it on the opposite wall), and versatile.I don't believe you'll find a better value for cleaning brass. And it'll even do rocks too which the rotary one from RCBS won't (or not for long).Best value for the money I've had in a long time. I recommend it to anyone looking for a tumbler.
