GROHE3220210L | Concetto Basin Mixer Tap

Two things:1. 12mm reducing coupler/adapter needed. Other reviews say 15mm but it is definitely 12mm and Screwfix sell the part2. Positioning the lever in the centre draws a mix of hot and cold. This is annoying as most people will operate the lever using this position and so waste hot water.

This GROHE 3220210L | Concetto Basin Mixer Tap is pricey but hoping that buying a good quality brand will mean that the tap will be trouble free. Be warned the fittings are European so plumber had to return visit to buy adapters

Quality item. I guess you get what you pay for these days and this item may appear to cost a lot compared to other taps but when you imagine how many times you will be using your sink taps over the lifetime of your bathroom use i see this as a bargain. A good weighted item which delivers a smooth flow of water. The directional control section is effortless to use and very smooth too. Looks great with my Ideal Standard basin.

Bought to replace a cheap new B & Q tap which had lasted for only 14 months before becoming too stiff to operate. This one is better looking, easier to move, definitely like the slight forward lean to the tap as it makes lifting the rear waste handle and cleaning behind the tap more accessible. It was more expensive than the previous B & Q tap but is definitely a better made tap and hopefully will last a lot longer.

Tap comes with 10mm flexible tap connectors (German standard?) not 15mm as we have here in UK. I can understand this but that should be clearly stated. Got to buy additional 10x15mm adapters so cannot connect straight out of the box. Not happy at all...
