YJHome 6” LED Ventilation Wall or Ceiling Mounted Exhaust Fan Extractor Fan with Back Draught Shutter(ø150mm)

This fan went in to replace a 120mm one that was not great. It was for a small bathroom where the heat of the shower really bucketed out the steam. It's very powerful and sucks everything out so quickly that we haven't even fogged up the bathroom mirror at all. It says silent, but I guess it's as silent as you can get. Fans have to make some noise and it's a fair compromise. I put it into the ceiling, having had to cut larger hole for it, but the top flaps that stop the backdraft are delicate, so be careful with the installation.The backrest protection is brilliant, even if delicate. That bathroom was always freezing and this made a very noticeable difference. The problem is that the small flaps come up right at the very end of the hole, so you can't really put a simple 150mm flexi-hose around it without a real potential of the flaps hitting it and thus not opening fully. I'm going to have to find some larger pipe to put around the top exit and attach a flexi-hose to that to the outside, but it's still worth it to keep the cold air from coming back in.The only other thing is that it has no timer. I didn't notice that so it turns off as soon as you turn off the light. I likely would not have bought this without that timer, but I would have been suffering with the cold air and lack of ventilation too, so while it's worth it to buy, you do need to adjust how you shower, leaving it on a little longer if you can (rushing out in the morning sucks a little though).

I bought this to replace an older fan and it is a lot quieter and looks better than the previous one. I had it installed by an electrician as it looked a little too complicated for me but I’m sure those more handy than me would have no problem. I would recommend removing the one way flaps at the rear as they rattle when the wind blows through the outside vent. I did this a few hours after installation as it was quite annoying. Please note that this model doesn’t have a timer. Overall though, a good nice looking product that seems to do the job.

Used these for straight swap out of old fans vents out more air and is much quieter great product and value and easy to install

Quite surprised how easy this fan was to fit. I've fitted it into the kitchen with a sonoff unit and is now voice activated..It is very quiet and with the TV on I cannot hear it, glad it's got a light so I know it's on and it lights up the kitchen lovely..Great buy!

It’s ok.

Good enough fan unit but it clearly states includes a Remote. But no it does not and needs a separte switched supply. Disappointed as now have to fit a switch after all.

Excellent light and extraction

Hi good fan. However it was not the right type of fan for me so I sent it back. Though I have been partly refunded for some items. I am still waiting to be refunded for the extracted wall or ceiling fan. the sum of £31.99 to be refunded as I Sent them back on the 3rd of AugustGeraldine Mclaughlin
