A great printer!!
I bought a Dell Computer and got the "Dell" printer. It was an all and one like this one. Dell makes great computers, but that printer was not a Dell printer. It was a Lexmark. It is equal to a Lexmark that looks slightly different. They keyed the ink cartridges differently. You cannot buy the ink from the store. You cannot use Lexmark ink cartridges on a Dell printer. You have to buy it directly from Dell which be quite pricey. I was buying ink refill kits from a wholesale retailer. They are great too. What was worse, that printer the Dell A940-A960 uses ink like an S.U.V. uses gas. It jams paper constantly and worse. It printed out documents the wrong way on the page.I decided to do my homework, and I realized I had good luck with the HP printers before. I bought this HP all in one and it is fantastic! It is easy to use, prints great, does not smear ink, jam paper, and very space efficient. I found this printer had five stars when I was researching printers.I would strongly suggest this printer to anyone. I cannot praise this printer enough. I use less ink, less paper, and I do not have to worry when I print. It was quite easy to install as well.

What a disappointment!
My husband and I are 72 and 63, respectively, have no children, and did not abuse this machine in any way. It is the third HP PSC 2355 that we have owned - all identical, so we are well familiar with how to set up and operate one. We received this all-in-one, which worked for exactly 92 copies, then stopped. We contacted Printer Depot through Amazon. Printer Depot, of course, insists the product had been tested and had shipped in perfect condition. They did NOT offer to refund or replace, rather to contact the shipper to see if they would cover the cost. Since we had not filed a claim with the shipper, we highly doubt that there will be any reimbursement from them. We did note that the only "packing" in the box consisted of a long piece of bubble wrap, wrapped lengthwise around the printer, but no other buffering material. It was not well packed for shipping. In spite of an email that Printer Depot had sent us, promising a full refund, even after the 14-day period, if there was anything wrong with this product, it appears that they are weaseling out of any commitment or responsibility. We were not home when this printer was delivered, had out-of-town guests and did not immediately install it. When we did, it worked for only the 92 copies. We have reinstalled the software numerous times, have tried 3 brand new cartridges, but continue to get a message to "remove and check color cartridge." It is unusable, and we have reinstalled our old printer. The "new" printer is sitting on the floor in the guest room, awaiting resolution of this problem.Amazon needs to stand behind their A-Z policy, as well as have Print Depot honor theirs. Apparently, our only recourse is going to be to dispute the claim with our credit card company - and advise people to stay far away from Printer Depot. We have heard nothing further from Printer Depot, nor have we heard back from Amazon. We are not terribly impressed with the customer service.Sandra F. Rheem

Cheap Construction
I returned this printer. It was light weight and the plastic was cheap. Plus it was an ugly blue that didn't match anything.

Good Printer, Bad Software
HP hardware is generally good stuff- lasts a long time, does a excellent job, and looks nice. The HP PSC 2355 is no exception. The quality of the printing is top notch, it is very intuitive to use, and image slots as well as screen are useful features. I especially like the fact that the print-head is built into the ink cartridge. This brings up the cost a little, but well worth it, because you are getting a brand new print-head every few months (this was a big problem with my old Epson). For an all purpose printer, I am very pleased. It prints quietly, and quickly. I was looking for a printer that does decent scans, copies, printing and pictures at a reasonable price. This does all of that wonderfully, and the small size is very convenient too.Of course, there is one big problem, and that is the HP software. Setting up this software is absolutely HORRIBLE. It is amazing how incompatible the HP printer drivers are with the HP digital camera drivers. I spent hours and hours trying to solve problems with HP technical support; they are absolutely useless. First, pictures wouldn't download properly, then the computer and printer wold not communicate correctly- the list goes on and on. HP Tech support failed to solve any of my problems. I had to do it all on my own.In summary, the printer itself is great, once you've got it up and running. But to get to that point, namely installing the software, is a feat in itself. Buying this may not be the best idea for those who don't find computers intuitive.Important to note: This does NOT come with a USB cable to connect to a computer! I luckily had one from my old printer, so it wasn't a problem for me.
