OtterBox Commuter Series Case for Samsung Galaxy NOTE 8 - Non-Retail Packaging -Pink Salt/Blush

I originally went with the "Commuter" series because I had purchased the Iphone 5S version a few years ago and it protected my phone better than anything could from my bad habit of dropping things (especially expensive phones). I raved about it to friends and convinced many to go with the Otterbox for phone protection.Given my previous history with the Commuter series, it made sense for me to purchase the same series for my Samsung Galaxy Note8. Unfortunately, this case was not the holy grail I once thought since my phone cracked when it fell out of my back pocket while walking on the sidewalk. I was extremely disappointed and felt like the cost of the Otterbox was not worth it's value.I haven't given up on Otterbox entirely as I have decided to try out the Defender series in hopes that it would work out better for my phone. If the Defender series doesn't justify it's value, then this will be my last Otterbox case.I've given this case an overall rating of 1 star because it did not protect my phone from a fall. Aside from that, the case itself has a nice feel to it and is ascetically pleasing.

This case does not fit the Samsung galaxy note 8 as said that it would. The soft silicone part of the case is uneven, covering more on one side of the phone than the other, pushing my screen protector off. After also attaching the hard plastic piece, the cut out sections do not match up properly and fully. This case has also made it extremely difficult to get the pen out of my phone because the cut out is uneven!Honestly, dont spend your money on this product with high hopes of getting a nice otterbox brand phone case.If I would not have broken my last phone case and been completely out of luck on a case I would be sending this back in a heartbeat.I must add. The hard plastic outer casing of this case provides no slip protection causing your phone to slide around everywhere and the "protection" of this case sucks.I wanted to give this a 5 star review just so my review would be seen but this case does not even deserve a fake 5 stars.

It was a great fit but it broke in several areas when I tried to take it off to clean it. It stains easily so I have to clean it often with acetone to keep it pink. It broke apart about a month after purchasing so I can't return it anymore. But it did protect my protect my phone when it flew a few feet out of my hand and landed on the ceramic tile. . There was just a little scratch where it's not protected so the pin can pop out.

Otterbox is my got to for EVERY phone. This case looks nice, is very functional, and protects like a beast! I used the Defender series for years on previous phones, but the phones got so big that my Galaxy Note 8 just wouldnt fit in any of my pockets so I went to a slimmer Otterbox. I was nervous because I drop my phone a lot. I have dropped my phone sooooo many time and not a scratch. Love Otterboxes. Bought a navy one and I switch the rubber inner with the hard outer and the pink and naxy look good together! My phone got run over by a car on pavement in the defender once and not a scratch on my phone. The case did crack but my $1000 phone was not hurt at all. I've had my Galaxy Note 9 for 2 years and have never had it damaged. My neighbor's 3 year old had a tantrum and threw my phone into a paneled wall!!! NOT a speck of damage to my phone. This case allows for easy pen removal for a note and the buttons work great. The ports have covers for the charging and aux holes. Microphone, speaker and pen areas are open. Hooking to aux is not an issue as many cases don't allow the aux go in completely. Clean with soap and water and dry it or let it air dry.

I like the color and if it is a real OttorBox, I got a dud. You have to remove both pieces to charge the phone. There are no cutouts except for earbuds.

I like the color a lot, I usually hate the typical hot pink options in store. The price was reasonable and it's nice and slim.Update: dropped it on my hardwood floor screen down and came out fine. No cracks or anything.

I was a little worried when I initially got the case in the mail because there was no screen cover and I genuinely didn't think the screen would survive without a cover. I do not have a shatter proof glass thing on my phone either and to my surprise this freaking thing honestly has held up to and went beyond my expectations. It isn't all bulky, it's got silicone or rubber bits to help grip the phone (although they are nice it doesn't really help me lol) and it's freaking pink. Who the hell doesn't love pink?

I love otterbox. They make great cases. I will never use anything but this brand, but I just upgraded to a galaxy note 8 and got this commuter series for the first time. I'm not a fan. It doesn't even cover the screen right makes whatever screen protector that's on the phone push up. I then went and got the other box defender series and it left covers phone and curved edges. So I dont reccomend the commuter for any phones that have curved screens.. get the defender series.
