Want a super fat ponytail? This will do it!
The good: This will make any thickness of hair into a super-fat ponytail! I used it on my 8 year old daughter who has long fine hair and instantly she had this huge pony tail! The not so good: She could never put it in herself, so kids will need adult help. I put it in my own hair after practicing, just fine. But another small thing to consider is that it cannot be used in sports - she obviously had to take the hard plastic piece out of her ponytail before soccer practice. And also - I wish there were a medium or small width option bc this just makes for a really (obvious) fat/thick pony. If you’re looking for a subtle look, this is too wide to fool anyone who knows you ;-)

Adorable and Affordable
Wow, love how full in makes my ponytail! I insert it this way- separate my hair into "half up half down". Holding the top half of my hair I insert the tool and twist. Then I bring up the lower half of my hair making like a "sandwich" with the tool in the middle. I wrap the band snugly near the hooks (closest to scalp). Works great!

Doesn't work well...
The directions on the package are very hard to follow - I was able to use following directions in another users review here on Amazon. I have really long hair that is thin (which is what I think this product is intended to help, to create a fuller pony tail). You could see the product through my hair, and it really didn't do anything except make the girth of my ponytail wider. But it was still just a floppy ponytail - did nothing to help with the fullness.

The directions don't make any sense. At all. ...
The directions don't make any sense. At all. My dog is enjoying it as a chew toy, though, hence the second star!

Not worth the money
I have long, thick, at home dyed, mostly straight, Hispanic hair. 36 y.o female. I'm a low maintenance, sweats and hat kind of gal and mostly pull my hair up or back and thought of "stepping up my girly game" by putting a little extra effort into my daily ponytail by trying this thing. I watched the YouTube video with the dude showing me how to put it in, like him, I figured it out, it was easy but really doesn't make a difference in the way the pony looks. Not worth it, try something else. I'll continue looking.

Perfect Pony!
It’s legit. The other reviews helped me figure out how to use it, which i read before i ordered (as I do with everything!). So, no surprises.Doesn’t hurt my head after wearing a couple hours like even regular ponytail holders do.

I love it
It took me a few to figure it out, instructions not great. Make your ponytail holding just with your hand as usual, slip it under or into the side/under part of your ponytail, twist a bit if you want, hair kind of naturally goes around the plastic piece, then the tricky part is to add the band. Just take your time. the first try I wrapped band around twice as normal but it band wasn't going to the base of the piece at my scalp, it ended up at the top of the piece. I worked the band towards the base at my scalp then I could see how it worked. Tried again and now it's easy. For brown/darker hair it works great! I've tried others and don't like. I'm buying a second to have on hand.

Makes my ponytail pop and my buns beautiful
I'm surprised that this product doesn't have 5 stars overall, this works great for me. I have fine hair, but a lot of it. When my hair is down it has lots of volume because it's light and fluffy, but in a band, it shows it's thin side. So using this really makes it look thick and lush. I even use it to make buns and my messy knot look much thicker. And it's easy to use, but not the way the directions suggest. I pull up half my hair, then put the poof under that half, and then pull the other half up to cover the bottom of the poof. it takes a bit of practice to get the band around a couple times, but you'll get the hang of it (I use my pinky to hold the poof in place and pull my hair through). I lost one and had to buy another because I instantly missed it.
