Living my best Greek life!
I love gyros! This gyro meat is awesome and I am willing to splurge on it annually to have it whenever I want! They ship it on dry ice, sealed in a styrofoam cooler inside a cardboard box. Absolutely delicious, authentic and a breeze to cook up just what you need for gyros, pizza, salad, etc. YUM!

Great tasting and a good value
This is really good Gyro meat. Just like what you get at Gyro restaurants. It’s 12 pounds, and the price per pound is a lot cheaper than the Gyro “kits” that are sometimes available at Aldis or the grocery store. We pull out and thaw what we need for a meal, and with making our own sauce ( which is much better than the kit sauce or what you get from the restaurants ), it makes for a great family meal.It arrived still fully frozen , a few days after placing the order, in a cardboard box with a thick Styrofoam liner and dry ice packet on top. We are on our second order

UM, NO.
I need to review these because we honestly actually bought them and tried them. We have been craving gyros and thought we'd try to make our own at home. We do not buy food often over mail order, but decided we had to try these. They were packaged fine for frozen stuff but be careful b/c they use DRY ICE and that will burn a person if it is handled by bare hands. The bags INSIDE that contained it were marked, but they had flipped over so their warning was unreadable before we pulled them out. There was NO warning or indication on the outer part of the box that warns people of this. That's a pretty bad safety oversight. What if a kid decides to reach in to help Mom unpack and gets ice-burned? Some one could get really hurt by that. They need to use a warning label on the outside. Now, on to the actual product:These things were SO disappointing. UGH, They are AWFUL. They are NOT "authentic" tasting at all. They are like Steak-ums with a whole lotta garlic thrown on. They cook well, but there's SO MUCH grease, it fills the tray in a small oven to cook just one set of these. I don't taste any lamb at all, unless that's what all the grease is, but I don't eat that. Listen, I have had every gyro known to man...even fast food ones. We eat them whenever we go somewhere new, trying to find a "perfect ten" one. The meat in all of those different ones was ALL better, MUCH better then these--even the one I had off the back of a sketchy food truck at a fair was better than these. I've even had chicken gyros and gyros made with vegetarian "meat" better than these things. We have no issue paying for quality but these are NOT worth the huge price we paid. Just, NO. Try again. Pass on these and get something else.

Tasty but thin
These are very tasty but they have a hard carb count which I’m trying to avoid. I was getting the version from Costco but they have a lot of ingredients I don’t want. Because they are so think I was making to many to make a sandwich, I now stay within the portion control sizes and I’m fine. They are delicious and I don’t miss going to the restaurant unless i want the thick cut versions.

Good if you crave gyros at home
First off, it's great that you can get these delivered at home. They show up well frozen in a secure package with dry ice which is great. The four ounce portions are good in the sense that you don't have to cook a lot of meat to get a serving. I think the downside is that it's not the same as you would get from a deli or Greek restaurant. Something about the way they cook the large cones makes it taste better. Not sure why. My only negative feedback is that it seems like there is a lot of fat in these, like 50% by weight. I could be wrong but I was put off by the amount of fat that came out of just one serving in the pan.

UM, YES. 12 pounds. 48 portions of 4 oz each.
This item is poorly described, so it’s no wonder people are so confused. There is one box containing 12 pounds of uncooked meat. The meat is thinly sliced and six slices, weighing 4 ounces, are placed on a piece of wax paper. There are 48 4-oz portions. That comes to 48 times 6 slices = 288 slices. These are stacked and frozen. I wish they were thicker, personally, but the taste is right. At 12 pounds, that is less than $10 a pound, delivered.
